Death note .mkv playing too fast when remuxed as mp4

No matter what program I use, when I try converting my Death Note .mkvs to MP4, the video output is way too fast.

Can anyone tell me what might be the problem?

Please note I am using YAMB to combine the h264 and AAC files.

Either you chose the wrong (constant) framerate, or your files use variable framerate, which YAMB and most other tools don't take into account.

Try HandBrake.

Does Handbrake simply put the file in another container (like YAMB), or does it actually have to re-encode the entire thing?

It always re-encodes the video.

If you don't want that, check if the framerate you chose in YAMB is correct. Otherwise, try the following tool:
