If I were to guess, I'd say Kurumi Mamiya or Emiri Kato, but I honestly don't know either.

You guys talking about the bread? I was pretty damn sure that was the Kugimiya Rie, is there any confirmed basis for saying it wasn't? She was using pretty much the exact same voice that I've been enjoying recently in Saki as Yuuki.

You sure that she's voicing one of the fairies?

Kaoru Chujo didn't list her as one of the faires and it's true that bread kun does kind of sound like Kugimiya Rie's Yuuki voice in Saki though I'm still not sure it's her

"What the hell did just watch?!" pretty much sums my reaction to the first episode.

Really good stuff going here though, best start out all the new series so far.

Wait, Mr. Pan isn't KugiRie? Could've fooled me, as my first impression was that it was voiced by her.

Loving the relaxing episode but the near end with the bloody bread that comes out of no where is quite disturbing for the atmosphere of the show.

Eh?! so the slimmy headless defeathered chicken evading capture from a bunch of starving schoolgirls was normal

The setting is pretty grim to begin with, and the fatalistic hypocrisy of society makes things even worse... in an interesting to watch/listen way of course

That's pretty much the purpose of a Crapsaccharine World, which I think is what they're going for (though being played for laughs more than for drama).

God, at first glance, I see them as scary little people (due to the wide mouth).... the design is quite unique... hmmm... thats all what I can say.... still to check it out if I had the time... but I'll put this to my list!!!

Well, after watching the first episode I'm intrigued, to say the least. Lot of dialogue and I like that. All the hints and social commentary were pretty easy to catch. Oh, and I didn't think it was that surreal. But I've been watching Genius Party and Kuuchuu Buranko before that, so ymmv

I'm always interested when any work of fiction attemps social critique of some sort. I shall be skeptical, though, because in my opinion it's difficult to get right. Many works delve into simplistic handwaving in the vein of: "Look! So much advanced technology yet so low life! Look!" and so on.

I don't watch many shows per season these days, but the first episode did indeed leave me hungry for more.

I notice that too but then forget it when her hair is back she is doesn't look like a girl at first. When I saw her I thought I watch a wrong anime and double check the title.

The bloody bread or carrot juice bread is bloody hell disturbing I can't eat bread the same way when I'm watching that.

1. Humanity is on the path of extinction
2. Food is scarce, as well as other amenities like shampoo, soap and deodorants.
3. There is no internet, tv, radio or newspapers.

Mhh, would you blame her is she indeed was high? Would you not want to be high in her shoes?

Can't figure out of this world they live in is meant to be comical or so serious that they have to be insane to cope.

After the bread scene I had to wash my face and sober up (I was not even drinking).

This series is worth continuing to watch, with much reluctance.

I just realised there hasn't been any emo nano.ripe bashing yet regarding the OP. Should I start?

Btw, the ": D" meme is spreading like the plague...
