That trailer is indeed amazing. The short length of the series is still a bummer but... I want to believe.

That was music to my ears. Yep that definitely got me even more pumped for this (something i didn't think was possible). I would say its going to be an agonizing two weeks but there are quite a few anime starting next week that will tide me over until this starts.

Not too bothered about the length either. I was only expecting 11 eps so 1 more acts as a bonus for me. I guess it will be a concern for people who are familiar with the source material as apparently adapting 9 volumes worth of stories is going to be quite a challenge to satisfy that audience. For me its probably just going to have the same effect that Hourou Musuko had and make me want to check out the source material if it turns out good.

Intriguing that Yoko Kanno had specifically been looking for a show like this to work on for quite some time. Hopefully the dream team staff can make this one of the winners of April.

I'm only miffed about the length because after reading the manga it's obvious to me that 25-26 episodes would've been enough to make a perfectly good adaptation that includes all the important parts and doesn't rush anything. :/ Maybe they'll be able to do a decent or even good adaptation in 12 episodes but to think of what could've been...

If I remember correctly (see ANNcast #109), there's an ongoing contract for translation for the Fuji Creative slot of noitaminA, which is why there is an English website.

So yes, this should be streamed.

Don't count on it. Maybe a minor hit at best, but not a big one.

It will be good, but not a hit. Stuff like Little Busters! are hits.

So yes, this should be streamed.
Just to be clear: Us translating the shows is not directly related to them being licensed for streaming.

Of course, it should make them a lot MORE likely to be licensed when the licensor knows that a script will come with the show when they buy it...

On June 6, they're releasing the Apollon Outtakes Collection CD. This seems like the "real" OST, with a collection of music from the show not included in the April OST (which will include mostly all the insert song performances). They mention an alternate take of Moanin', and the drum solo used in the next episode previews, as well as the original BGM tracks Kanno composed for the series. 3,059yen.

I see the title has already updated but for those who didn't hear, it is now licensed for R1 distribution by Sentai Filmworks.
