Must have been some sort of martial arts demonstration by a Shaolin monk.

I used to be a monk like you, but I took a kick to the balls.

They couldn't. They were offline and communicated by hand carrying usb drives.

From what I've heard (because they didn't want to bother trying to convince people Bin Laden looked at porn?), it was his men's stash.

Why can't these idiots kill themselves before shooting kids?

Because then they don't get any attention from the media.

No one cares about one guy shooting himself (assuming you're not related or acquainted to him), but when he takes down others first or simultaneously (like with a bomb blast), then people start to care.

Well, at the least, he is suffering now. I don't believe he is off the hook (as in, 'lights out for eternity'). He was probably counting on that. His mistake. He is suffering now. That is what I believe.

I'll second that sentiment.

And how sad are we for rejoicing in other people's pain and suffering, it shows we are not able to step in anyone else's shoes but our own.

Any person who hates or harbors negative feelings of any kind is already in pain. The killer must have been suffering for a long time way before this tragedy unfolded. The thing is, in this society of ours we are conditioned to only think about ourselves, which makes it very difficult for anyone to detect and help troubled individuals.

I think of those things rather often, considering the suffering of troubled ones and how bad people are just people that went astray. I really do think of these things quite often.

But really, criminal acts like this are just unjustifiable. So the gunman had a lot of pain in their life. A lot of good people do, too. The gunman could have done so many other things to try and help themselves, not go on a killing spree, leaving despair and destruction in its wake. They may have suffered a lot, and clearly, they were delusional, but they were also twisted to think that killing four people including a toddler and then killing themselves was somehow a good idea and the right course of action that day.

And I believe they suffer in the afterlife, but I don't rejoice in it. It is rather bad, but also, what I was trying to convey in my post was not rejoicing over this, but rather something along the lines of "well, I believe there is some sort of justice involved". I think about those things, too. Compassion for bad people and terrible people. But over the last few years I've started to better understand the importance of justice in the face of evil and terrible wrongdoings.

Man Run Over by Taxi in Montreal

http://gotgingham.blogspot.ca/2012/0...t-gingham.html

A bunch of drunken white punks gang up on a black cab driver, kicking and jumping on his car and yelling racial slurs at him. One of the offenders end up getting run over by the cab driver.

This is disgusting behaviour on the parts of the drunks. Not surprisingly there is little sympathy for the "victims".

China steel mills too big to fail - or succeed
http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/...84203620120503

Quote:
In a ramshackle township in northwest China's Shaanxi province, red Communist Party banners call on a nearby steel mill's workers to seek "progress" and avoid making "backward steps".

The slogans demonstrate the hybrid nature of China's floundering steel sector, which as it tries to serve the twin masters of the state and the market has seen margins plummet and racked up a mountain of debt.

Beijing's attempts to tackle the problems by forcing lumbering state-owned mills to consolidate or push up the value chain look likely to aggravate rather than solve the problems of a sector that accounts for 3-4 percent of China's GDP
Edit: Gilbert mass killing: Border militia leader identified as shooter
http://www.azcentral.com/news/articl...tims-abrk.html
Quote:
A border militia leader on Wednesday shot and killed four people at a Gilbert home, including a toddler, before committing suicide, sources said.

Sources identified the shooter as Jason "J.T." Ready, a reputed neo-Nazi who made headlines when he launched a militia movement to patrol the Arizona desert to hunt for illegal immigrants and drug smugglers.

No doubt that cab driver will be getting the harsher crime of attempted vehicular manslaughter, reckless driving and various other indictments whilst the drunks get off with minimal charges.

It's stupid how people can push someone over the edge mentally and force them to do the worst things. No doubt those drunks are at fault; racism and reckless violence are two of the most retarded things that happen on this planet commonly.

.......and the court will pass the verdict that the fault lies with the driver, not the drunken white punks. Oh yeah, I see where this is going.

Just wondering....could this count as self-defence? Unfortunately, the threat wasn't proportional and he could have drove off in the other direction....meaning no jury would accept that defence.

Seems like the driver simply panicked though...

I don't think so. Rewatching the footage, it's clear that the driver's main intent wasn't to drive away to safety, but to make sure a lesson was taught before he made his escape. The moment he makes contact to the point where he revs the engine while the tires sat on the man's face...it all happens in a split-second.

This really is a tough decision for anyone, because while that shouldn't have been the result to any conflict, I'm sitting here trying to place myself in the driver's position. What if a group of drunk racists were beating at your car in an uncontrollable state? You have no idea of what they'll try, and they might even try and kill you pushed far enough. So, do you take the risk and move the car, or do you get out and get swarmed? In a situation like that, I'd realistically think many would choose the former, but I'm not saying that's right.

Exactly, this is unfortunate but the cab driver is the one with the heavier charges here. His actions displayed thought and intention. It was not uncontrolled panic. Of course if he gets a lawyer, they'll be defending that he was in panic. It's a necessary attempt that will most likely fail and give him the charge for attempted manslaughter.

What is really gonna be sad is he may lose his job. I hope his agency has more common sense than the law enforcement. =/

Off topic but in Canada, a lot of people intentionally back up their car in the middle of traffic, and sue the person behind them for rear end. Because rear end is 100% the driver behind's fault. Even if the person in front backs out at incredible speeds on a highway. The road laws are so retarded sometimes.

Other being the hitting pedestrian or cyclist is always the driver's fault.
