The funny thing is just about EVERYONE already knows it is supposed to be the Taliban. Just changing the name doesn't change the fact you'll still be playing a terrorist killing American troops in multiplayer.

It's official - Japanese media still have not made a single report on the protests.

Their mass-gomi is trash and doing a massive disservice to its people.

They need come up with something equivalent to FOX news on BS-Satellite channels

For those who want to play the enemy there's a game called Call of Duty.
derp derp... So when I'm an elite mauling your ass in Halo Reach I shouldn't be allowed to play as it because killing humans is somehow more offensive than aliens. Or I shouldn't be allowed to shoot police in GTA because that would be offensive to police... give me a break, this is a non issue, and by the way MOH has been ALLY centric since it's all been WWII European Theatre... seriously at least play the games that your talking about.

Eventually there is going to be something that stops games like GTA from being made. Since some people are actually crazy enough to follow what GTA shows, and defy the police and think they can get away with it.. Somehow people just take examples from video games, and set them in real-life or attempt to.. I dont know why people do it.. But they just do apparently..

Either way, all violent video games are bad in nature, but we play them anyway because we know that they don't affect what happens in real life. We just enjoy them, its not like were getting arrested for playing the enemy of America.. But then again, some people will take offense to those certain types of games, and eventually try to get them banned from being made.

Of course thats just me yakking along

Care to name an actual example of someone actually copying something from GTA? Like an actual case of some one who played GTA and then went on a grand theft auto, cop-killing spree. Criminals have been defying cops since before GTA 1 came out, I find your statement untruthful and baseless to say the least.

It is just an opinion, of course there is no case where that actually happened yet. But it seems that people really do tend to follow examples that video games are providing, as said, there is no proof of this actually happening yet. But its just my thoughts running wild.

There are a couple of instances, like the kid who killed his cousin practicing "mortal combat" really wrestling moves, but this is like saying because the Hand Maids Tale was written then it will come true is stupid, entertainment like football is more deadly than say video games, especially due to the big hits, and intensive training where you hear about kids dieing from heat stroke. Ugh anyway I don't see how because "it's innately" bad makes it a reason for banning. I mean so porn should be banned? People should just not try to attempt to legislate or police morality because the truth is morality is different for everybody. What about movies that promote murder? Crime? Adultery? Where does it stop? What about Goya? His art depicts anti government sentiment should his work be "banned" because it is innately promoting revolt and counter culture?

Law firm Gallant & Macmillan, which was threatened with a DDos attack by 4chan yesterday, appears to have disappeared from the internet. It is unclear whether the host disconnected the domain in advance of the attack or whether Gallant & Macmillan is now the latest company to be forced offline through traffic overload.

Anonymous group 4chan began waging war on copyright bodies and solicitors involved in accusing internet users of copyright infringement as part of what it described as a 'operation payback'.

A week ago on Friday, ACS:Law also became the victim of a DDoS attack by 4Chan and is now having to pick up the pieces after ACS:Law or its host inadvertently placed a backup of the content of ACS:Law's email repository on line.
“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible, make violent revolution inevitable.”

Quote:

After disgruntled letter recipients mailed off a barrage of complaints to the Solicitors Regulatory Authority against ACS:Law owner Andrew Crossley, he told his advisor that not only did he “feel defeated” but that in his long-term interests it might be better if he “shut up shop”. Doing so, he explained, would bankrupt him.

Some people, particularly those of a resilient nature operating in the cut and thrust of big business, have a skill for letting nothing get to them. Or at least they give that impression. Up until recently ACS:Law owner Andrew Crossley was one of those guys.

Despite mounting criticism and the immense pressure of several hundred complaints about his company’s conduct delivered to the Solicitor’s Regulatory Authority, in public Crossley has remained strong. Defending his position at every available opportunity through media interviews and self-penned pieces, one might be forgiven for thinking that nothing could shake this man from his ‘turn piracy into profit’ crusade.

But behind closed doors, things were very different.

“I am worried about the latest developments. Apparently there are presently over 500 complaints against me thanks to the internet campaign and Which,” Crossley wrote to his advisor just over a month ago.

So once again the government is going to try to squeeze the first amendment
because they're afraid of what some idiot might do? How wunnerful.

Totally not worth it to risk your life just to watch someone play some game.

That is just utterly amazing. Let's outsource police next so they won't investigate or protect you if you haven't paid the extra fee.

Apparently these people live outside the city limits and have to pay a service fee to the city for fire protection. Aren't these people paying property taxes to some government entity? Why isn't fire coverage just rolled into property tax rates? Unfortunately the TV coverage doesn't say.

There will be no terrorist threat.

I have my full confidence in the Indian military in keeping the athletes safe from Paki, commies and separatists.

What I am concerned about is hygiene. It's like the Indians have poisoned the wells.

AUSTRALIAN swimmer Robert Hurley is returning home after succumbing to a mystery virus and Delhi Belly.

Hurley, who crashed out of the 400m on Monday with the illnesses, made the decision after consulting the Australian team doctor.

Australian head swim coach Leigh Nugent said Hurley's departure was not "Delhi related" and solely because of a long-term mystery virus.

"I think what we are dealing with is a lot more long term than that," Nugent said.

"This certainly isn't a Delhi issue. This is an issue for Robert personally."

"We feel it is just best for him and his health based on the medical advice that we've got that he returns to Australia and gets on with some treatment back home."

Hurley however is one of five Aussies suffering from gut-related illnesses, known commonly in the Indian capital as Delhi belly.
Speaking of which Australia is on top of medal tally...hmm

Who ever said he was talking about terrorism and not the buildings collapsing on their own?

I am not that sure of that though. Their commandoes are still using outdated, uneven-recoil Sterling SMGs.

Hygiene has always been a problem in India. It develops so fast technologically that the infrastructure are not taken into account to be relaid.

I had a neighbour who was hospitalised for 3 weeks after returning from a visit of his relatives in India. Diagnosis is severe food poisoning - and yet he still jokes that Indians here are a billion times luckier than their relatives in India.

Also, I used to work for a health and lifestyle company specialising in water-related products. There was an Indian businessman who walked in, bought a number of water filtration systems (each costing over a thousand dollars), and wrote the delivery address to ship to India, citing the reason that the water filtration systems there are "hopeless".

It is more like the locals have developed an immunity to the environment.

It's easy to say that, but that's not exactly what has happened here.
We who live in the city ALL pay fees for fire department, it's included in our property tax.

However, this home owner did not live in the city.
This residence was outside of the city limits, and he doesn't pay the city any taxes.
That's why residents outside of city limit must pay a separate fee if they want to be covered by the city's services.
People who live in the city, of course, do not have to pay any separate fee because that's already calculated into the taxes they already pay.
This is a very normal procedure in many parts of America.

The home owner was, or should be, very aware of the consequence of refusing to pay these fees. He made that decision, and lost the gamble.

I'm not saying that's justified for not putting out the fire, just pointing out that the fault is not one-sided at all.

You bring up a good point. The answer is: because this is America.
In USA, many of these departments are funded by local governments, instead of federal.
Therefore each state and counties have their separate rules and regulations.

In this case, the city set it own rules, and he wasn't following it.
If you live in the city the fire coverage is part of the property tax. If you live outside the limits, you're out of luck.
That's why the city offered the coverage through separate fee, and this home owner declined the offer.
He should have known exactly what that meant.
