AIINT! WRONG! I am in fact, a lover of Gackt as well. I have been with him since Malice Mizer. The point is - he got whooped. His cds and singles didn't top MM, and if you noticed, I tied most of the catagories that were silly, or added to make it even. I even added some to give him some points. Ah f-ck. If you had read the 'Who does Chiaki like more' you would've seen it was a draw. ^_^. Now to get working on the next round. |

Keep it up Chiaki. This is "wanna laugh until I die" funny. But really, Ayumi should've won the battle with Hikki. Apparently the english skills category was planned in Hikaru's favor. Of course she speaks English better than any native Japanese, she was born in America and has lived there for half of her life. So in my opinion, category does not count. It all ends in tie.

Koda Kumi - That one chick that did that themes for that one game and now is trying to be Miss hip hop thang. Big Sister. Day After Tomorrow - That trio that makes that 80s synth music and does themes for games not released here. Koda Kumi's little sis Misono lead singer. Random Talk How do I come up with the battles? And are they fair? Some battles I chose for obvious reasons (i.e. Ayu vs. Hikki), some I chose for competiveness (SMAP vs. CHEMISTRY), some for fun (MM vs. Gackt and tomorrow's Koda Kumi vs. DAT), and some because they were the first thing that popped into my mind (Mika Nakashima vs. MISIA). Sometimes I wish I had not used a certain person in a battle, because there were other, more 'even' battles I could've done so that it would be a duo vs. duo or group vs. group. Do I know the winner before I start? Not really. For instance, in the first battle I thought Hikki would stomp Ayu. It ended with a tie, and I had to use a bonus round to get a clear winner. MM vs. Gackt shocked me at the final numbers. Gackt is such a prominant guest on Music Shows, I thought his sales would've been higher. The SMAP vs. CHEMISTRY surprised me too. SMAP barely won through the fact that they've been around longer. This nature makes the battle actually fun to look up and see the winner. At the beginning, I had debut sales numbers, but as the battles went on, I found it almost impossible to find sales numbers. So I changed it to peaked position, which means I can now find almost all the information for the battles by surfing the Oricon. As for fairness, I try to balance things out so they end up winning by sales, fans numbers. I never count my personal likeness unless it is a tie when I count up the final figures. But it is my little game, so I could make up rules as I go... And that was the first and probably last random talk for awhile. |

1)I'd like to know why you think CHEMISTRY is untalented. Can you elaborate a little bit more please? I'm a fan of thiers, but I can't find an english site on them ANYWHERE!!
2) when you did a Google search, how did you narrow it down to CHEMISTRY the music duo and not that class you take in High School (with the beakers and chemicals and whatnot :P) 3) Not to tell you what to do, but do you think "The Uncoloured" or "Nami Taminaki" have a chance at showing up in the future (not together, of course :P) And Is it okay for a boy to post in this thread, or is it soley fangirl territory? Woah woah woah, how the heck does Namie Amuro beat BoA? She sounds like a japanese Britney Spears. BoA has a much smoother, obviously less synthesizer-enchanced voice. Saeko Chiba > BoA > Mikumi Shimokawa > Namie Amuro. That's a math equation anyone can understand.

A bunch of the things you're using are completely irrelevant...debut single sales are completely useless in determining a singer's staying power, and only measure the record company hype. (How do you hear about a debut single before it's out? Hype.)
On top of that Namie is almost completely washed up. Her last single is horribly awful, as are 3 out of the last 4 tracks she's released. Nakashima Miki SUCKS. She cannot sing. And if you're going to compare looks, you should use a picture of the "new" Misia, the one that had plastic surgery last year. In any case it's transparently obvious that this all breaks down to: "Who does Chiaki Nozomi like to listen to more?! Everyone look at me!" It'd be nice if there were some outside debate allowed, or perhaps, shorter posts by you, so others can toss in their 2 cents. As far as who the next "actual" idol is going to be? There's too many people vying for that crown right now. In the past, everyone just sort of got out of the way. When Namie hit, there were hardly any big single person acts out. ELT, Globe, TRF, they were all groups. You can't really count Tomomi Kahala, because everyone knew she couldn't sing, but TK gave her good melodies, beats, and songs...cuz she was his wife. When Ayumi came out Utada Hikaru and Kuraki Mai were battling each other, and left the door open for Ayumi by not releasing anything for a while. Avex capitalized by pumping out a bunch of Ayumi crap (4 different albums of remixes released at the same time? Gag.) and she monopolized the airtime as a result. But people grew tired of her very rapidly. In short, there isn't an "idol to end all idols" left out of the current crop of acts. If anyone, it'd probably be Matsuura Aya. She has popluarity, is too stupid be egotistical at this point, and is young enough to have a legion of fans again in 5-10 years, where everyone isn't tired of "idols" anymore. She could re-peak, at around 20-22 and be huge all by herself. Without one dominant producer, you can't have one dominant singer. TK doesn't have it anymore, meaning it's wide open. |
