New port Configurations
I was wondering if anyone would know how configure the new port addresses to the microsoft base station that im using.. currently im using shadows bittornado and it almost never goes beyond the download speed of 1-5 kbs and always says that im firewalling even though i turned it off. Im guessin that these two are related somehow in their problems
I know that you would have to forward the ports I would like to basically know how to do it. The name of the base station is Microsoft Broadband Networking Wired Base Station MN-100, Router with integrated 4-port Ethernet Switch. Im sort of new at this and need help! Thanx for any help offered! |

I'm not all too familiar with what you are talking about... is this any different than forwarding your ports as you normally would?
all that I'm really familiar with is going to your router's IP (192.168.1.1) than find the port forwarding tab. From here forward the range 6881-6999 check TCP and UDP and then in IP address enter 192.168.1.xxx where the last digits are your computers IP address. |

Yea that would work normally but since the recent problem with some of the trackers they have been changed to new ports rite
What i would want to know is what I would need to add in the inbound port range for the new port ranges |

You don't need to change anything local because of that, just get the new torrents and restart your downloads. The clients still use the old ports inbound.
If you stay with the old torrents your will lose more and more peers and your downloads will slow down and eventually stop (probably already happened).

After downloading the updated torrent, the current download(s) should then be able to resume from where you had left off at. However, it would be best to make a backup of the download should bittorrent assume that the part downloaded file has become corrupted, thus probably starting the download at 0%.
