I have the lonely journey of training for the Chicago Marathon. I can actually change that just joining a running club or group; but not yet, I intend to get myself back up into speed before even considering. I already trained for these types of runs twice already; and both of those were very lonely journeys.

The previous two times, it was easy to find the motivation to go about it. This third time, it'll be tougher to find that (due to the 'been there, done that' mentality). On top of that, I have to contend with the risk of IT band. This injury isn't fully blown yet; but I feel early symptoms. So, gotta be careful there; this limits training lengths and intensities.

A couple more chores to do then I'll be closing down for the night. Then I'll check out Lagrange #10 after I get into bed.

If by "parody video" you mean "original clip from an actual movie," then yes, it's a parody video.

YEE! I bike everywhere :P *high five*

How long does it take to get to work on a bike? It takes me 45 minutes. 1 hour 30 minutes by public bus (because its terribly route pathing and inefficient design in just about everything).

It's hard to complain about being lonely when I live with 6 other obnoxious people in this house.

@ Paranoid Android - at my age it takes me about 30 minutes to ride 5 miles. So that's 10 miles of riding every day, except for the days when I actually need to be somewhere after work, then I take the truck. I do try to take it easy heading into work though so I'm not all sweaty and gross. It's kind of sad though, I NEVER see any other bike commuters. I only see schoolkids on their bikes.

@Solafighter - When I do that, it's mostly laziness on my part.

loneliness doesn't bother me much as long as i have my computer

but once i experienced absolute loneliness for about a week, there was a sudden flood that blocked all the road and my parent were visiting my grandparent in a faraway place, lucky that there were enough food (mostly instant noodle ) for me to pull through a week but there were no people, electricity, TV, computer, Internet and the only thing i have is just a few manga i'm already read.

after 4 day, confined in my house with the loneliness. i'm feel like i'm almost went crazy.
that loneliness was really scary

^ That's terrible! I have some friends in Alberta, Canada who got stuck at home for 6 days in a snow storm that buried the house with several feet of snow. It was something like -40C out. That was 2 years ago I believe.

I might go insane if I ever get stuck in a building for such a long time. I have claustrophobia too.

Isn't it weird? I don't even think that it matters whether other people are around you or not - if you don't have some sort of meaningful contact or exchange with people, you experience that same feeling of isolation. It's like life takes on a totally different feel and meaning (not in a good way), but you're brought back once you re-establish contact with others.

that was back when i'm was 14 and i don't think many kid of my age back there can endure loneliness.
i'm much more of a loner now so i don't think i would bother me that much anymore, but i still think running around in a house with nothing to do is pretty... unpleasant
