Is there a reason why people think that Brownbeard hasn't always been a centaur?

Brownbeard and his crew were shown to be normal humans with 2 legs previously when they appeared and was confronted by Hawkins.

Brownbeard and his crew have been shown twice in the past:

1/ ch581, p 7-8
- taking over foodvalten after WB died
- pony tail crew member who slices up flag clearly has legs
- other crew members it is difficult to tell

2/ ch594, p 17
- fighting hawkins (presumably on risky red or mystoria island..)
- hawkins is sitting on pony tail crew member
- clearly the mini jean bart looking crew member has legs
- see the crazy lion like hair crew member again

This chapter you see the crazy lion hair crew member as a centaur and no mini jean bart (that i could find). If brownbeard was a centaur then his crew was mixed in the past.

Another thing to note is that he no longer has a jolly roger on his waist, further indication of his status as a former pirate. It could be he became like a mountain bandit, or is under the power of a yonkou/shichibukai and manages the island (candy factory? :P). I haven't seen that symbol anywhere else, looks like the side of two candies or clouds or something.

In any case its tough to tell either way. The harpy doesn't look like it would have been created by law because the arms look like lafitte and is prob a DF.

I basically answered that in my last post: We've had no indication so far that "M" and Law were directly working together. Or to put it another way, why can't it be the case that creating an army of chimeras for M was as far as Law's "partnership" with him extended? Outside of that possibility, whatever business both characters are conducting on that island could be completely unrelated to each other.....

Think that depends on whether or not the samurai is an enemy. But yeah, the torso's fight with Brooke is proof that he's a tough customer, indeed. Kinda makes me wonder how strong the son is, as well.....

That's exactly what I was thinking. The torso fighting was pretty impressive.

It's possible but there is no more reason for that than the other alternative so lets not assume anything just yet?

^ Just to clarify, I was only stating a fact in response to people not understanding why the switching of hearts would affect their personalities. I myself am perfectly fine with tossing the laws of the universe out the window.

It's a often used concept anyway.

Besides, there are some scientific research and individual cases that suggest patients who receives heart transplant sometime gains the memories or personality of previous owner. It's part of cellular memory hypothesis.

Haki has to be done consciously anyways. It's not like knowing how to use haki makes you immune to all things Devil Fruit-related.

Also, what happens if the Ability User has a stronger haki? Wouldn't it be able to pierce the haki's "armor"?

^ Just like logias i'm sure you can train CoA haki to be a reflex.

Stronger haki must mean landing the hit.

If we're assuming Sanji has training in Haki, the one thing that's certain is that his CoO is not strong enough since he couldn't detect Law's attack.

Not really.. I am guessing CoO isn't 'on' all the time.

Just look at an example from the WB-WG war.. Jozu tackled Aokiji successfully despite Aokiji having a decent level of CoO (at the least).

CoO? I forget all the different haki names. CoO is the armor haki right? Enel didn't have that, he only had "Mantra", or the haki that gives you enhanced senses.

CoO = Colour of Observation (Observational Haki; also known in Skypiea as Mantra)

CoA = Colour of Armaments (Armour Haki)

CoC = Colour of Conqueror (King's Haki)

-----

Law's abilities are quite broken indeed, which all the more befits him as a warlord going by the past trend of the shichbukai having really hax abilities.
