Kinda disappointed it's really Quincies. I don't know about the king (or "that thing" Urahara abides by) will fit in this mess.
I hope that plotline won't be dropped to make another short arc about one of Ichigo's friend (in which Ichigo's friend will be completely irrelevant as usual)

I'm not up to date with Kubo's interviews, is this arc supposed to last longer? Is it meant to be the final arc?

I remember something about an "Isshin arc", was it dropped or is this meant to be about Isshin too?

I remember Kubo stating prior to the end of the arrancar saga that he wanted to do 2 more arcs--a short one and a long one. The fullbring saga was apparently the short one he was referring to. And as chapter 480 confirmed, this is the final arc. As for Isshin, there's still a good chance Kubo will devote some time towards developing the man's past in this arc IMO.

Btw, no chapter this week it seems.
