Hey, Do you think Great Red, will reappear at some point during the crisis of the Evil Dragons?

Well, since his appearance would mean ... an instant win, for Ise and the rest of the Gremory group ... I doubt that he would appear during this arc.

I doubt that Lion.

Judging from his personalty, GR is willing to swim in the Dimensional Gap for as long as he wants.

If you think about it, he didn't appear during the time where Evil Dragons are still active.

Since GR is considered as a True-Dragon akin to a higher form of being and it's very powerful. Hence, there is no need for him to interfere because the balance will just keep on breaking.

I got something in mind:

Spoiler for About Ise:

I have a feeling that this might be the flow of the story.

You know, for him to become an unimaginable existence in the span of 1 year.

I think it's natural for him to die for the third time.

I was thinking that the [True-Longinus] wants to witness the completion of his dreams. During the fight with Cao Cao, the Longinus didn't respond to his "Ambition" but answers Ise's "Dream".

He's a humanoid True-Dragon. He's already above a god, he just hasn't reached full potential yet.

????? You do know Great Red is a Dragon and he is stronger than God. Ise getting his flesh and Ophis's powers already makes him an ascended being of God. Albeit a ascended God being that is unstable like an nuke and haven't even unlocked his power. Also, it seems weird that we haven't gotten at least a clue who killed God in the Great War.

I know guys.

It's just that there is this uneasy feeling that he might die again.

That what I'm concerned about.

Plus, there are still many strong foes for him to face and we might not know what will happen.

There are still more adventure for him to go and an adventure will always be accompanied by an eminent danger.

And I guess it safe to say that the Vampire-arc seems to be a success, though it's still far away.

But for Rossweisse to be next heroine, it's time to set on Asgard for Oppai-Dragon's next adventure.

No we understand that, it has become a normality to think he will die. Though what was questionable from your post is he is already above a being of God.

mmmm, I am not so sure, but for Issei to reborn again without help and even more stronger(Great Red Blood and Ophis Power),mmm, in this moment the one way i can see is to "Being Born From Nothingness", BECOMING AN ENTITY. But I think that this is not the moment, the are a lot of more adventures yet to issei grow up his actual powers, author said will improve "Divine Dividing" Issei habilities.

I think that this is the moment to Evil Dragons, Dragon Kings, Great Red and Ophis.

Returning to my question, Do you think Great Red(Dragon of Dragons (DD)), will reappear at some point during the crisis of the Evil Dragons?, To help Issei for example?

Ise's second death, has been something that the author has planned from the beginning of the novels ... which, is the reason why we have a title like that.

I also think that Ise's second "death" occurred, so that Ise would be able to overcome the limitations of his "original" body, so that he could finally start properly developing his powers.

Considering that, I think the possibility of him dieing a third time, is pretty small... but like always we can't be sure, what the author has in mind.

@WILD_LION

Well, if you haven't noticed, me and Ken have already answered you're question and the answer to that is ... no, I don't think that Great Red is going to appear to help Ise ...

First of all, because he usually stays in the Dimensional Gap ... and isn't usually interested in what happens in the other dimensions.

Second, because he's too powerful ... and him appearing would destroy any build up / suspense and so on, of the battle against the Evil Dragons, that is eventually going to take place.

Issei already has the potential to be stronger than a god, the only reason the author killed Issei again is to make him on par(potential wise) against some of the upcoming foes, what could he possibly gain from killing him a third time? Also the author has hinted that the story is beginning to wind up for the climax within the next couple of arcs, he's been working on another series on the side and since volume 9 or 10 he's already been talking about the series ending and what he'd like to do afterward, whether College DxD, Millicas story or something new entirely based in the same universe. From a personal stand point I think the author is bored with this current story and wants to start something fresh and more mature themed since his editor keeps pulling his reins when it comes to "character development".

Me too. Although I wouldn't mind seeing a spinoff once in a while, just wish Ishibumi had the same work ethic as Kazuma Kamachi.

Ishibumi is a young author so he hasn't reach the wisdom age yet. At least he is not as bad as the author of Infinite Stratos.

Uhg don't even mention them in the same sentence he might rub off on him... Yea you're right altho to be fair Ishibumi IS fairly hardworking giving us 2-3 chapters a year unlike some other authors who I won't name >.>. He also helps out with the animes, OVAs, and the manga plus he's also doing another story at the same time and currently working on an illustration book with Miyama dai-sama-sensei-san.

Doubt it will rub off, Ishibumi loves his fan posting updates and making funny comments, his afterwards are interesting enough to read. While "that" author just post up stuff like he is not doing it anymore and says he is playing video games. Ishibumi is looking like he is keeping secrets of what is to happen in the DXD story. I mean it was in volume 3 since the death of God was announced, yet even up to volume 15 there isn't a clue to who down him in combat. Ishibumi is preparing something big.

I thought god died tanking the two heavenly dragons and the 4 original maous lol? Nah if I remember correctly The 4 Maous and God killed each other in battle? It's what was implied I think I haven't read that part in a while.

Well, my take on that was that the 4 original Maou died and then God from the bible died some time after them. My theory was that they may have sustained serious and potentially fatal injuries during their battle with the 2 Heavenly Dragons (I doubt that Ddraig and Albion would've gone down without at least them getting in a couple of good shots). Which subsequently may have led to their deaths.

Unlikely, he is a pretty lazy dragon who seems to prefer to sleep than actually engage in combat and on top of that he has been order not to move until the end of the world, I doubt he will make a physical appearance. May be something along the lines of what they did in volume 7.

Douutful.

Also these kinds of questions, belong on the Speculation & Theories thread.

Midgardsmormr appeared because the arc called for him to appear, they were fighting a Norse based enemy. Why would the author bring a minor character and waste the time and energy when he can bring in Thor, Frig, Bragi, Hoon, Baldr, Freyja or Hel? Characters that are 100x more interesting than a lazy overweight dragon. Also why would he be an enemy or a friend? He's pretty much neutral and doesn't give a sh*t about anything but catching some zzzz'.

Maybe considering Ryuuteimaru originally came from the Norse there may be some slight character development from Isseis future Flying Man Cave.

I was under the impression that Albion and Ddraig got sealed centuries (at least 300-700 years by my calculations) before god and the maous died. The oldest known evil piece made has been Kibas master 200 years ago. So I'd say that after the main all out war stopped when the leaders died, the evil piece system was implemented to replenish the demon ranks. So theres at least 100 years before Ddraig and Albion got sealed to when the leaders died.
