I don't know if this was mentioned earlier, but the machine by the RF-8 is a PK-43 field kitchen, which actually never existed. Maybe that's why the director used it, but who knows?

We are talking about the classic RX-75-4 Guntank in the doujishin picture, not RTX-440 Ground Assault Type Guntank in Igloo series. Look at the head and torso and shoulder cannon despite it only 1 cannon like RTX-440, but the ones on RTX-440 is breast cannon, not shoulder ones.

RX-75 Guntank is more like self propelled guns instead of a real tank due to its lack of speed burst and high profile. RTX-440 fights much more like a real tank should, using its armor, low profile to dodge enemy fire, speed, and concentration of firepower to break open enemy line of defense and exploit it. I think parodies involving RTX-440 would be more fitting for Girls & Panzer series as most of the battles depicted put heavy emphasis on speedy maneuvers .

I feel like my knowledge of tanks is increasing the more I read this thread and watch this anime... Anyways, I was curious when I heard the title "Girls und Panzer". It sort of catched my eyes from all the other animes that were airing. From the first episode alone, I kind of figured they would get right into the action. But being able to keep action + characters rolling along together in such a fast-pace time makes me adore this anime.
