The manga battle isn't as one sided, but still the contest is clearly in Ooarai's favor if you had an overall view, (which Yukari doesn't have since she's in the middle of things). Ooarai comes in with 6 tanks and only loses two tanks (a third is crippled but doesn't surrender), while Anzio losese 8 out of 10 tanks.
Remember that it was a flag match and the enemy came very close to destroying the flag tank, which for some reason they put on the StuG. That's the true measure of victory or defeat

For personal preference, allow me to be the minority that actually prefers the fight implied by the anime. The underdog motif is typical tactic, but let's just see one fight where Oarai uses parity or slight superiority to win cleanly instead of being the underdog needing to use all its guile just to survive.

It's Kay in a cowboy hat, American-flag bikini top, short skirt, and cowboy boots with rowelled spurs, carrying a Coke bottle. You decide on whether or not you want to open the box in your present location.

As far as Anzio goes: I also prefer the "relatively-easy victory" interpretation of the match, because it also fits in better with the team's fairly high morale going into the game with Pravda.

Another candidate for a late 1930s to early 1940s based British team is the late Margaret Thatcher (Margaret Roberts at that time). To go with the present day Queen of England back when both were in the British High School equivalent. Upper School I think its called. She'd be the upper classman to Princess Elizabeth by a year I suppose.

Now we need it the other way around; the Strike Witches (of various squadrons) manning the Oorai tanks, lol.

There's really been quite a bit of call for GuP contents. The reporter was citing the company's public relations release in her quotation above. Basically ACTAS is not confirming that there's new work yet.

Actually, didn't one of the Yukari corners confirm that Yukari HAS been working out even before she became a loader?

Y'know. I've just started this recently... and for now, all I can say: this series is not carrying the same "magic", that Strike Witches did. And I'm not talking about the Witches' magical powers either; but rather, the effect Witches had on a viewer. Instead, Panzer is looking like a regular school girl series, with a twist. Namely, who lets schools fight each other using tanks and live ammo?

And taking another look at this "Witches" image... one factor is the Zettai Ryouki... there's some magic there... if y'know what I mean...

They need to do a SW / GuP crossover... No, really.

I just started watching SW recently, its actually quite entertaining. If wasn't for friggin buttshots getting in the way of everything... I would have liked it even more.

Now all we need is a time paradox to warp GuP into the SW-verse. Could be fun.

Girls und Panzer and Strike Witches are very different in tone and feel, but many people were initially expecting GuP to be like SW. Thus, the parodies and comparisons still linger.

Get used to it. They aren't going to go away. Ever.

One is a war anime using magical girls and serious hardware.

The other is a sports anime using real tanks.

Their hardware isn't much better than the hardware used in GuP. For the most part, both series utilize historical weapons.

In fact, GuP's hardware might be better protected due to this... magical carbon lining gig.

Wait, you're complaining about the very reason the show exists? You do realize that the title is Butt Witches for a reason, right?

The strange thing is that the shows have basically nothing in common.

Strike Witches doesn't care about historical hardware; it's all magic blah blah blah.
