I don't lie. Lying only gets you in trouble.

We watched:
Clannad (loving it)
5cm Per Second (enjoyed the romance between Takaki and Akari)
Cross Game (they kinda like it. wished it was more romantic like 5cm)
Card Captor Sakura (ok...they thought it was like yu gi oh)

Now going to watch:
Gakuen Alice
Tsubasa
Kimi Ni Todoke
Earl and Fairy

I have a lot of suggestions now. I think I might be good for awhile. I'll let you know if I need more. Thanks a lot!!!!

Not too surprising there. It's a 70-episode series, so it takes a while for it to develop beyond the simpler stuff like the old "gotta catch 'em all". In fact, to increase the size of the story, the TV producers added 33 cards that weren't in the original, which means there are some cards that are really kind of dumb; and also, when they added all that they also moved some of the plot points to later in the story, resulting in it taking a while and at points being rather cliche.
Did you watch it in Japanese? If you watched the English dub then the appraisal was exceptionally kind.
Tsubasa breaks from the fold more quickly. Card Captor Sakura and Angelic Layer were designed for slightly younger audiences than other CLAMP works, and are a little more "mainstream" on the surface, unlike Tsubasa and Rayearth. If you can find them and she's curious, you might want to try the manga versions of CLAMP's works.

That said, I definitely agree with the numerous people here that Miyazaki's works are top-notch, and the sort of material that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. A couple of the works have a little questionable background though.
A good example is Princess Mononoke. It's a beautiful work that delves into the struggles between a people's welfare and prosperity and the survival and preservation of the natural world around them, carefully showing the validity of both sides and making it clear that neither one is truly right. However, while the story is moving, it might be a little beyond a 10-year-old. For instance, the Iron Town's women are mostly former prostitutes who were liberated by the leader of the town; it doesn't get into detail about their former work, but if your cousin doesn't already understand what prostitution is and a bit about what such people go through, she might not fully grasp the situation. The care for lepers, though, is plain enough I imagine.

We already saw Clannad. Special A was good, i watched it myself. I think I might have to block her eyes where Kei was kissed by Jun though. Poor Kei I'll give Shugo Chara a try.

Thanks for your help. CMHerrera.

Of Miyazaki's I would not suggest Mononoke hime and maybe also not Nausicaa. But:

Spirited away (they have seen)
Kiki's delivery service
Whisper of the heart
The cat returns
Howl's moving castle
Castle in the air
Ponyo on the cliff by the sea

would all be awesome.

Neighbor Totoro may be too kiddy like though it is adorable. The romance is rather shy.

I bet they might like Summer Wars. It has a little romance, a lot of comedy, and some terrifically-animated online battle scenes. Being a movie, it's only an evening's commitment, and besides it's the summer!

Hm, Seiryuu talking about CLAMP reminded me of Kobato. Should at least be a contender, from what they liked so far.

I'd also like to bring up SeijiSensei's Dennou Coil again, in case it was forgotten rather than rejected. It has little romance (it's there, but the real theme is friendship), but it's emotionally intense enough to make up for that. Main motifs would be opening up to others, dealing with loss, and what's real. (It's probably one of the best age-appropriate anime I can think of.)

Considering developments in the real world, today's ten-year-olds might well be spending their lives in a virtual glasses world. No virtual pets in the Google Glass world that I've seen so far, but the day is coming. Hell, my daughter had a Tamagotchi a decade ago and loved playing Catz on the computer.

Dennou Coil....a lil romance and friendship. What more could i ask for? Nothing cause it is perfect considering that they both watch Winx Club. Great suggestion.

K-on and those K-on type shows like Acchi Kocchi and A Channel. Might run out of stuff to watch and these aren't bad.
Sailor Moon?
