Please, AIC, wow me for once...Just this one time, please?
Do you think it's possible for the 2nd movie to have a different staff/studio?

The credits are for all the movies, the only difference will be the director for each movie. The rest of the staff including the studio will remain the same.

I'm just glad they're splitting it into multiple films. Everything else I'll judge once it gets here.

Considering the title I guess this one will cover up till the end of Spring which I think is the Heirophant/Lovers full moon? Seems like an odd period to stop since I don't think it's anything significant to end on.

birth? I wonder up to what part is this birth. I wish it won't be rushed and will be looked stupid and I'm glad its multiple movies but the waiting will probably drive one into insanity.

waiting for the first movie to come out wont be so bad, but if they end it in a cliffhanger....that will just...suck lol

I may be forgetting the story a bit but I don't recall much good points to stop at until pretty late in the game.

Still I'm with you: I'm relieved that they are splitting it into multiple movies but I'll reserve judgement until we get to see the first one. The studio and director don't give me much to look forward to and the scriptwriter being the same behind the P4 anime doesn't give me much hope either.

However I think it won't be a train wreck... hopefully.

I seriously don't get the hate on P4A. It was quite well done with lots of great integrations. That series was one of the better adaptations from games that I'd seen. I am surprised to see people here not liking it since it is really well received elsewhere.

Personally I thought P4 was spot on. It was really just the animation that was troublesome for me.

I personally liked P3 much more than P4 (I guess my avatar easily gives that away). There are imo more touching side stories (ie: the guy who writes the book) and a darker world (end of the world with all the Nyx posters, vs just random people missing and a fog), the weekend sales commercial guy also made me laugh a lot.

Hopefully the movie does not get into much trouble showing people shooting their head with a gun. For a game with such a controversial concept I am surprised an oversensitive parent didn't file a lawsuit. Seeing that the first time when I played the game had such an emotional impact!

Yuki = girl name right?
(Did they mistook Male MC with female MC?)

Might actually be kinda awesome if they decided to use FeMC rather than him.

Already used male MC in pv and promotion picture.
(A lot of people will rage if they don't used original MC .)

Yuki is probably the last name so it doesn't matter if Yuki's a female name or not (e.g. Rito Yuuki)
Makoto is a bisexual name though

FeMC isn't canon though because she lacks The Answer.

It's great fanservice and comedy for those who played the game. They animated most of the comedy scenes like the King's Game perfectly and even improved it, but when the time came for the serious plot and mystery, it was horribly rushed. I don't blame them because of the limited number of episodes, but it doesn't change the pacing issues.

P4's anime adaptation was too silly in tone for me. Not that P4 was very serious to begin with, but the anime just pushed it to a level I didn't like.

I've said this before, but they could have fit in the FeMC as Makoto's sister or something. That way they could share the same backstory and events and not have to change around the story to a large degree. I guess it's not happening though.

Oh, and I'm sure Makoto Yuki was chosen for his name because it's androgynous.

Again, but the problem is that Aigis's story in The Answer was never remade to include the Female MC.

There is a cutscene where you explicitly see the Male MC.

That doesn't affect the production of these movies. It could have been worked around to include her yes? Aigis could have still had her psuedo-romatic relationship with Makoto as originally intended and the FeMC could be relegated to her BFF.

There's no excuse they couldn't have included her with the above scenario, they just decided not to. I guess that choice is out of a desire to have absolute accuracy towards the source material where only either-or can exist.
