DT stuck serving the Princess. Not that he was happy about it...
Erec was taking his loss really hard. Kinda felt sorry for him. That sword DT got from Erec was really impressive. Well, that Erec sure has a lot of soldiers and weapons at his disposal. I was only half surprised/half "I knew it" that that idiot could use the swords power. Erec vs DT again and with the same outcome as last time.

This show continues to surprise me. Its coloring is that of a kiddie show, all bright & shiny markers. The plot seems like a middle-schooler's quest game. The humor is on the order of a burlesque show's humor. Surprisingly, the disparate factions work to make a delightful whole. In other words, I really enjoyed episode 2.

Wow. I've never seen a protagonist I less wanted to fight. So, so scary, that DT.

The episode was fine and despite the none-too-subtle humor I laughed a lot (I think I found the successor to Yondemasu yo, Azazel-san... XD), but what made this episode was the ending.
Oh my god, that ending. THAT ENDING. XDDDD ~LET'S GO ED! IKE IKE GO GO!!~ (If this keeps up ED may just become my favorite villain of the year...) |

(Freecell in Phi Brain)By the way I really wonder why the subbers don't translate the OP/ED lyrics. I'm sure it wouldn't be easy (due to all the "double meanings") but still, they're hilarious. |

So about the show's naming sense. It seems director Shinji Takamatsu was the one who named Kon & Erec, the others were by series composer Akatsuki Yamatoya.
Kon's full name 火風紺 is apparently CAPCOM written in kanji phonetics and took him only 30 seconds to come up with. He originally wanted to call ED Erectile (zero subtlety lol) but the staff opposed it and so Erecpyle it was. Meanwhile, Yamatoya based everyone else's names off racing horses.

Oh my god, the hilarity.
The opening's double entendre, the various homages, the innuendos, the sheer absurdity of it! (really? DT mc kicks antagonist in the balls, and then proceed to loot his sword. ED in every sense of the word now lol) Sold.
