Yamiji's bankai is indeed pretty awesome, as expected of the strongest fire zanpakutou in SS. Hitsugaya's bankai looks so ridiculous compared to it

I'm curious to see how Juha will bypass this flame armor. It seems pretty much invincible.

Yamajii's bankai is truly powerful...
since Hitsugaya know about Zanka no Tachi... is that means Yamajii usually use his bankai??
I think he use his bankai like 100-500 years once...

He didn't know about it, he just noticed the water in the atmosphere was disappearing....
The only ones that seemed to know what it was were Unohana/Kyorakyu and Ukitake..

Don't screw this up now Kubo. I'm not counting on you, but don't screw this up with another of Ichigo's plot armor moments.

Have him join in and beat all the other Quincies instead in a 3-on-1 battle or something to still retain his "all powerful and shizzle" status without leaving Yamajii out of the spotlight.

Hm, here's what I think:
1) The guy who killed off the quincy and pointed his sword at Urahara steps in and takes on Yamajii (since I think it will take an unknown and powerful character to deal with him now seeing Juha didn't expect this)
2) A driven mad Ichigo shows up in hallow form and everyone will have to join forces to take him down.
3) Yamajii gets off-paneled...
4) Yachiru shows up mad that Kenpachi is on the ground and goes wild...
5) Kubo will troll us...

Number 5 is the most possible one.

we all know the rule in Shounen, once someone shows off their main power and the other guy hasnt......the original is pretty much dead meat.

As for him freaking out in that jail - what else did you expect in those conditions? The guy desperately wants to "protect everyone" (since the beginning of the series), but all he can do is helplessly watch how SS is getting butchered. And he was never a "calm" person to begin with.

About this weeks chapter................... :O :O :O :O WHO WROTE THIS CHAPTER?! Just kidding...... Great work Kubo. Chapters like this remind me why I started watching/reading Bleach.

Now, here's a theory : What if Juha Bach isn't the Final Boss? What if this is Yamaji's fight and no one's gonna interfere and Kubo isn't going to troll him(us) by stealing his Bankai?
What if the guy that Ichigo's gonna fight is Uryu Ishida? If this is going to be Yamaji's fight then the man standing in front of Urahara may well be Uryu.

I know this is pretty far fetched(and I made it sound so melodramatic T_T) but I really want, for once, for Ichigo to not save the day for Soul Society. Kenpachi getting beaten off-panel was bad enough I don't want the same thing happening to Yamamoto just because 'Juha cannot be defeated by any other person except Ichigo'.

Why didn't the old man take the chance to hug the guy?

I assume he allowed himself to be cut instead of being cut because he was slower than the big bad.

Old man's loss and probably death is now cast in stone...

Freakin awesome chapter, but am I the only one super annoyed that Urahara is so calm and collective and not lifting a finger? sure she's prob healing people... but damn it man she will never get any screen time other than womanly roles....

This is a long arc, and Kubo has confirmed, we will be seeing her fight, and apparently, when she fights - she undoes the braids in her hair and stuff...

This attack on Soul Society is just the 1st round, many more to come yet.

I believe there was even a theory that Yachiru is actually Kenpachi's zanpakuto!
