Trade & Battle Stimulation Game

Here is what i am looking for

- Trading features, buying and selling merchandise to make money
- Taking mercenary work/or work as pirate in making money
- large selection of ships to buy
- customization of ships
- Scifi if possible

if anyone knows of a game with these kind of feature please let me know.

Seems like EIC. And it even has an expansion pack that lets you play as pirates!

There's also Patrician, but I never really played that one.

I don't know about Sci-fi, but I think there's quite plenty of this type of game simulating RL sea trades in the past.

Oh yeah I just remembered, wasn't there a game called Freelancer back then? Maybe you want to check that out.
