Also, what about Galaxy Express? Anyone have seen this classic series?
I saw the first airing of Korean dubbed version when I was in Korea, about 20 years ago.

Final Fantasy Unlimited- so few ppl has seen this although it's SO good o-O
Sorry to go off topic and definitely not trying to be offensive but many people have seen this for the sheer fact of having "Final Fantasy" in the title. Personally, FF:U made me want to hit myself on the head with a frying pan.

Odin - Photon Space Sailer Starlight - Caught this WAAY back when the Space Channel first came out here in Canada. I dont remember too much of it but I remember thinking it was pretty cool at the time.

Uta Kata - Something I dont think I ever would have noticed or heard of had it not been for a buddy of mine pointing it out to me. Never thought I'd really get into a "Magical Transforming Girl" type series untill I watched this a few years back. Was much better than I expected.

Gall Force Trilogy - Eternal Story, Destruction, and Stardust Memory - Saw the first one, Eternal Story also way back around when the Space Channel first came on here. Have them all on DVD now. Most reviews I read of it rate the movies as mediocre, but I personally love them, especially the first one.

Sexy Commando - Have only seen a bit of this show so far but its freakin hilarious. Again, never would have heard of its existance had it not been for that same buddy that pointed out Uta Kata too me.

Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokoro-chan - Another off the wall insane and hilarious show. Found out about this one from the AMV Hell anime music videos.

Tonde Buurin - it is known here in the Philippines as Super Boink! I guess it's pretty rare - I haven't seen any fansubs of it on the Internet, or I'm just really lazy, I guess.

Gall force Trilogy: Saw that one from the laser discs. This series's influence on future animes was huge, and it was very popular at its time, spawning many sequels and look-a-likes.

Chobits... I wouldn't consider it a rare find, if only for the fact that it's a Clamp work and most Clamp works have seen the light of publicity, for the most part. XD

That and many of my non-anime fan friends have also seen it or requested to borrow my DVDs of it.

As for rare anime... Tekkaman Blade comes to mind, but I'm sure that's because it's old rather than rare. Gatekeepers seems not to have that much hype, but then again, that's also probably due to age. Well, I'm stuck. Better get thinking here. XD

And.. Dagarn isn't boring! I love it to death even to this day! Makes GaoGaiGar especially more entertaining. Then again, I love robot series in general, especially ones that are infested with cliches.

Makes me sad that some of these are hard to find without having to resort to expensive import DVDs. Thanks to this thread, I might crack and buy another DVD set, most likely Sweet Mint.

Yeah I did. For Dagarn I remember I wathced the show but I remembered like nothing, I tried watch this part of some ep that I recorded but it was boring and I couldn't watch. It was the same thing with the 2 dragon quest series. It was a long time ago, don't really remember at all

I saw Angel's Egg (movie with character design by Yoshitaka Amano) . Is that considered to be rare?

I saw a bit of Legends of the Galatic Hero and Daddy Long Legs long time ago, but they are both subbed now so they are no longer rare, I guess.
