Ah, of course.

"...And loue the Great Mouse will consume that which walks the skys, and create more from its remains until the end times. Thus did balance of the light and darkness sway once more in the conflict of the heavens."

The Stars might be seen as the heavens and wars are conflicts. The balance of light and darkness within the Force seems to mark all the trilogies thus far.

So this is why 2012 leads to the apocalypse. Disney gathering so much power that the universe must smite the planet to stop it's evil machinations .

There was a mass crossover called "Invasion: Battle for Earth" on the Internet that covered something like that.

Besides I prefer Mr. Ford as Indiana Jones, although he did a rather good job as Solo.
From CNN:Han Solo at 70? Harrison Ford says maybe...
By Stephanie Frazier

(CNN) - Harrison Ford is open to the idea of bringing Han Solo back to life on the silver screen in 2015. That's according to Entertainment Weekly, quoting sources close to the just-announced "Star Wars" sequel.

The announcement of a new Star Wars movie came with Disney's deal to buy Lucasfilm for $4 billion dollars. One highly-placed source says Ford is open to reprising his role and is upbeat about it. The source says actors from the original trilogy, including Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker, and Carrie Fisher, who was Princess Leia, feel the same way. Entertainment Weekly says Ford, who is 70,won't go to the next level of contract talks until there's a script and director in place.

From what I've heard, Ford is willing to return to play Solo provided that they would kill the character off for good.

At his age any kind of Han Solo acting might actually kill off Harrison Ford for good.

Those are the kinds of stories that are possible. The old veteran dies sending the new heroes on their journey.

For all Lucas can be accused of, keeping Solo alive was needed to "prepetuate the species". The species being the Jedi in this case. Leaving it all to Luke is not practical as it is considered wiser to spread the gene pool around (Skywalkers...Skywalkers everywhere....)

You could do something interesting with the characters being old. What do you do with the revolution once you've won it?

Maybe they look on in disappointment as it all unravels...

I think Macross was one saga that covered the post-war. And it showed that it was not pretty for the people. I would love to see that with Star Wars.

In the EU, it was pretty much still an ongoing war for 19 years with the Remains of the Empire. Then other stuff happened. I think it was only peaceful for two or three years in the 45 year in universe they've covered since the Battle of Yavin in the first Star Wars film.

Haha! Now that's funny!
In retrospect though I could see a passing of the torch so to speak.

Toy Story 3 writer is possibly writing SW7 script right now. They're also hinting at possible directors. I personally would like to see a Nolan directed SW7.
