Well, except when you have mods.
I remember watching the CG trailer of Origins waaaay back, the characters looked interesting

When I somehow got the game for christmas, I was amazed on how some of the characters looked completely different than what I saw in the CG trailer (not even a remote likeliness)

Thank god for mods!

Yes, I'm looking at you, Leliana, Sten and Morrigan

At times, you couldn't really blame the huge disparity of hype and actual experience.

Jack Wall had almost the entire Mass Effect 2 musical set done before he even got an idea of how the whole thing would mesh in-game.

I would imagine the disparity to be far greater when we're discussing outsourced CG promotional videos ( fully intended to do nothing but hype ) and whatever schedule limitations Bioware has.

Finally finish the game in 47hours on hard. Shorter than Origins but let's say ~50h game is correct for a RPG but still is half of Origins.
Like Inon Zur said , the game was rushed , yes indeed.
I didn't mind the gameplay ,faster atk , it was fine but some incoherence like the Warrior 2H , atk speed , omg , so OP. Add AoE skills with that... Thought Mage & Archer were more powerful but at the end , W 2H won. On 1v1 , the Rogue is still the best.
Bioware made the game easier , like the Crafts , the abilities (yeah , look how much AoE/stun skills you have for the Warrior lol) , no tactics needed except against Boss , FF disabled except on Nightmare....
The game looks more beautiful than Origins specially the characters models but it lacks of rigid animations and there aren't much expressives.
The new interface is ok but the portrait is so tiny. Also i thought that the Polearm was include !
The storyline is so-so for me. Dark , rich , interesting , not bad , not great but less epic & no savour.

So + & - for me :

+ Kirkwall - Nice city , surrounding , houses , inside , design...
+ New Dialogue system
+ Many choices which can lead to a reflection
+ New quest type with the letters too.
+ Funny random dialogue specially Isabela
+ Interesting direction
+ Our Hero talks !
+ New gameplay more dynamic
+ Nice duel -
Spoiler for Duel:

+ Qunaris new look , yeah i like the new one.
+ More details & infos (Codex) on the universe like the Qunaris or the Empire TÚvintide.
+ Archer became useful
+ Sound effects
+ Abilities upgrades

- Niceness design at outside.
- Only Kirkwall Day&Night & a few areas outside the city...
- OMG , all the same areas , this is a joke , the biggest one of Bioware...
- We can say the same for the mini-Boss/Boss.
- Quests not very interesting , mostly all of them resume to a bloodfights..
-
Spoiler for Time:

- Hawke's dialogue sometimes incoherent.
- The fuc**** cursor ... hard to aim enemies. Edited.
- Dalatian new look , not my taste.
- As well as Hurlock.
- Some visuals bug & major bug for quests.
- FF only on Nightmare
- Wow , no armor change for the companions...
- Armors names , god , "Belt , Belt , Belt , Belt , Belt...."
- Easy crafting
- Imbanlanced abilities
- No tactical camera
- Easy Romance
-
Spoiler for Surprise:

- VF - Sub
- Game rushed

That's it.

Spoiler for Companions:

Spoiler for For the ending.:

Well , overall i give 13/20 for this game. We can say that DA2 is a new game with DAO's bases & principles but not a direct sequel. DAO can be considered like an objective point of view.
While in DA2 , the storyline is narrated by a character Hawke who offer his/her own vision things.

That's said , i don't give much hope for DA 3 as long as EA are behind Bioware. Honestly , this game felt like more a big DLC than a full game. More months on this game would've been better.
So now , you can count on lot of dlcs coming after.

... Are you playing on consoles? Odd, I though you were going to play on PC.

I'm on my third playthrough, auto-attack is still in on the PC version.

Nah i'm on PC. Ow i'm wrong when i mean AA... will edit it. Yeah totally wrong ouch shame on me.
Yes there's the AA on PC not on console.
What i mean for AA is after one enemie dies , he auto-attack on the one next to him. Guess it's DAO slow fight effect Don't remember if we could do that in DAO.
Cuz , the fight is so fast that the enemies falls too fast then i have to always click on those are left , with the "great" cursor , it's annoying.

There should be a mod for this I mean, with the number of enemy we have in here, it's annoying to click them one by one

... BioWare's cinematic department has always reused animations from previous games.

R only attacks the nearest enemy. Playing as a rogue, I always target mages first, but they are always so far behind the melee fighters.

You can actually keep Isabela from running out on you, but you have to keep her around and say just the right things...

Merrill isn't even the easiest romance, either. For a female Hawke, Fenris is by far the easiest as long as you aren't a mage-friendly type. You get tons of flirt options with him right away. Anders isn't too hard, either.

Merrill is different to romance than each of them because her friendship/rivalry gains aren't always based on a "cause" but simply on being sweet or mean to her. Of course, supporting her cause will get you friendship gains like no other, so I guess that's where the "easy" comes from.

I've heard of some weird cases where being nice to her earns rivary points, or being hard on her earns friendship So I think supporting her cause and believing in her is more important... Or rather, more 'reliable'.

IN any case it's all the same, support their cause or their morales. For some reason I expect to be rivals with Fenris, but somehow we became friends Aveline on the other hand just keeps habouring in the middle

But Anders... Wow, he does that whiny thing with his voice...

Exactly. Some people were complaining about auto-attack and clicking with the cursor... spamming "R" works wonders, there.

I play as a melee rogue. By the time I close in, I am already an arrow-studded, magic covered twinblader.

Yeah and really you shouldn't need to spam R. You'd think during testing they'd have noticed a problem with selecting enemies with the cursor. Pretty much just switched to a different companion who wasn't having that issue until I could use my main guy again.
