Oh that horse...

Anyways yeah, that save was predictable. I think Kirito even took a hit as well.

Good episode. Glad they've finally come out and told each other their pasts instead of continuing to skirt around it like they had been. They also answered the question someone asked in the last episode's thread about whether you can just pick up someone else's weapon and use it or not.

Yes, the looting bodies question was from me last episode, when I was trying to make sure about Gunner X's rifle actually being Gunner X's and not a trick of Desu Gan's.

And now we have Death that's not Pale Rider riding a Pale Horse.

It looks like Kirito was hit by Gunner X during his blink-and-you-missed-it fight with her. Though obviously just a flesh wound.

Also, despite the overall earnestness of the dig-up-our-pasts chat in the cave, I can't help but think "Kirito Harem: +1" because of the whole lap thing.

Kirito was supposed to hold Sinon damn it!! When a girl is crying on you like that you're supposed to hug her and tell her everything is alright.

Well he does have a girlfriend already and considering how the contestants are periodically recorded and televised during the event and with Kirito's luck he might just get recorded at an....awkward....moment.

That'd be an amusing thing to have to explain.

Jokes aside now that Sinon knows Kirito's past, she knows he can actually fully understand her pain with this.

This is getting a little bit frustrating. At the beginning, I am fine with the pacing of it and the story telling as it is an essential part of character development. However, i personally started to find the whole thing too repetitive. It felt like the whole thing of trauma has been dragged far too overboard. The interaction between Kirito and Sinon is of course important but is there really a need to explain Kirito's trauma, Sinons' trauma in an episode respectively only to bring them back again and further emphasize it in the latest two episodes. I believe that we will be just fine with knowing about both Kirito and Sinon trauma in a single episode like episode 10 or else we the anime viewers were like being told the same story twice or even thrice.

Plus the whole "protect me the rest of my life" thing.

These subtitles totally aren't misleading out of context:

Kirito: "You already live inside me."
Sinon: "I've never given myself to anyone else."
Kirito: "We're already involved with one another!"

Seeing Sinon breaking down in tears was the defining moment in this episode after being chased by the Termi- I mean, Death Gun!

Still, how could he possessed that pistol where Shino Asada used it to kill the burglar 5 years ago? It's a mystery...

The episode did feel a bit repetitive. I mean they both did need to have this discussion and get their pasts both out in the open. At the same time we've spent plenty of time on both stories so it really just felt like recap. Good for the characters, just not so good for actual watching.

Couldn't help feeling at the end there that Sinon really was just posing the whole time . Yeah, she's laying down to rest a little, but no subtly there .

Another member of the harem secured for Kirito. Somehow not surprised that when Kirito was talking about people to protect he managed to avoid mentioning his relationship with Asuna .

Now I guess we'll just have to see how these two handle this upcoming showdown. Would be nice if they manage to work well together on this one.

That's more a plot coincidence than anything, though not like there isn't a rational reason for it: given that GGO's physical weapons are modeled after real-world guns, it should be no surprise that the run-off-the-mill weapon that Sinon used against the robber would also be replicated in GGO. It's just Sinon's bad luck that Death Gun was using the exact same model of handgun that she had used before.

Sinon got saved in the last moment.
Of course Kirito came through for her.
Weird she couldn't shoot at the horse or DG.
Must have been the trauma of it.
Buggy vs Horse!
Thanks to Kirito's help Sinon managed to fire her shot.
At least they got him off their tail.
Sinon broke down and spilled the beans about her trauma.
Kirito did the same..
At least now everything is out in the open.

Spectators watch as Player Kirito and Sinon suddenly disappear from radar and remains undetected the next scan, and the next scan, and the next scan. What would they be doing in a desert with only caves...?

First half was annoying, her whole mental breakdown feels way to forced, I understand the psychology of it, but it feels like the writers are jamming it down our throats now.

Am I the only one that face palmed over how that last part of the chase scene went?
