Rather than calling her a legend or anything of the sort, she is more of a phenomenon. The Midnight Sun is a phenomenon in the longitudinal extremes (I think. I can't recall whether it's latitude or longitude).

「The sun turning about the horizon... I see, the Night and the Midnight Sun! So this land the sun travels above represents yourself.」
「Correct. The lakeside, the snowfield, and this Midnight Sun. It is the sun which forever shines in the twilight. This is my Game board.」
Shiro Yasha spread her arms. The sea of clouds along the horizon split in an instant, revealing the sun of twilight.
An Astral Spirit of the “Midnight Sun.” Izayoi pointed at the sun. It was a phenomenon which could occasionally be seen in Finland and Norway. It was a phenomenon in which the sun did not sink.
At the same time, he was pointing to the “Female Demon,” a Spirit who represented Water and Earth. A fierce beast amongst Demons. Little Garden was a place in which Gods and Deities gathered, the strongest of which would include “Astral Spirits” and “Divine Spirits.”
She herself could be considered a representation of the power found in Little Garden – the mighty “Maou.”

Thanks you. I know The Midnight Sun but I never though about the connection between "White night" and "Midnight Sun" at all.

I thank you too, I heard she was powerful from watching the anime but I can't say I truly appreciated her god-like nature(or is she really a god if we're talking level of power?) until I read about her from that paragraph from the novel.

the "Female Demon" is Shiro Yasha. In that scene, I believe Izayoi is pointing toward the "Midnight Sun," which is a representative of Shiro Yasha. By pointing at that sun, he is pointing toward her.

There something I don't get about vol 6. Why did highness offer Jin to join the the maou community? It was did stated in volume 6 but we really haven't seem anything special from Jin yet expect that he is really smart or is there is more to him than met the eye. Also why didn't Highness want all three of the problem children considering they are a group.

I highly doubt it's a coincidence when someone puts 'Maxwell' and 'Demon' together, if it is just for fun then I'll be extremely disappointed.

But I have faith, the author has been steadily using real life references to both mythology and science and various other trivia- even if it's a bit haphazard.

And I think it's highly probable that Maxwell will have an ability related to physics just like the link @Chaos2Frozen provided. He is known as someone who control boundaries/limits. Even his clothes are red and blue relating him even more to this thought experiment.

Base on a hunch I did a quick wiki search on the 'confusion demon'- it turns out that theres a character in the "Journey to the West" named the "demon king of confusion" (混世魔王)

Demon King of Confusion a character featured within the famed Chinese novel Journey to the West. This demon king is the first opponent that Sun Wukong would face off within the novel - in which had been in chapter 2. When Wukong had returned from his celestial teacher in chapter 2, his fellow monkeys had told him that the Demon King of Confusion had taken over their Water Curtain Cave and generally ordered every monkey to do as he pleased. After Wukong reached the demon king's cave, the king simply laughed at the boastful ways of Wukong and headed out in full armor.
