Just guns!

I'm looking for an anime that's pure action with just guns. NO MAGIC, NO MONSTERS, NO BS. Some scifi (as in space ships) is OK.

Examples of anime related to this type would be Black Lagoon, Cowboy Bebop, Noir, Jormungand, Gogol 13, and that's about all I can think of. If anyone else has some recommendations, please let me know.

Thanks!

Here's the following :
Trigun
Gungrave
El Cazador de la Bruja
Desert Punk (not sure if it counts, though it fits I guess)
Aria the Scarlet Ammo (though there's one side character that wears a special sword, but other than that, it's just guns)

I'd suggest Canaan. Though there are some minor abilities in some characters, it is majorly a gun series.

Baccano! - even though there are some fantasy going on, action for most part are guns, knives, bombs and etc.

Canaan

El Cazador de la Bruja - not the best show ever but it is from same creator as Noir

Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom - one of my faves

How about Gunslinger Girl? There is some mild sci-fi in that the girls are all "rebuilt" into cyborgs after experiencing various traumas, but if you can overlook that, there is a lot of action, lots of guns, and plenty of blood and death to go around. And if you tire of that, there's some decent drama as well.

No mention of Koukaku Kidoutai? It's cyber-punk but it's good hard action.

I was actually going to mention this as well. Gunslinger Girl isn't a bad choice and it actually has a lot of talk of guns and use of guns. It's pretty dark too.

Phantom, which was also already mentioned, has some great gunplay moments in it as well. It sort of shifts to melee past the beginning though.

Ghost in the Shell might be a pretty good choice if you haven't seen it yet. It has a lot of other stuff in it as well, but it does have quite a bit of gun combat in it.

As a rather strange recommendation, Mobile Suit Gundam: 08th MS Team. While it is indeed a mecha, it has more of a focus on combat between regular soldiers (in mechs) and even a bit of infantry combat from time to time. The focus is on soldiers, and not newtypes and other such special characters. There's a pretty good amount of gunplay going on between mobile suits and lots of great combat scenes.

I'll also back up the Trigun recommendation. Desert Punk is a pretty great show as well with lots of gunplay, but spends a lot of time not being too serious so it'll come down to how you feel about it after an episode or two.

If anyone has anything that comes even close to Golgo 13, please speak up! I derived a massive amount of enjoyment from that show.

there are some who uses swords here though, but most of em are just using guns.

EDIT:
just for the heck of it, I'll recommend you Upotte!
it's ecchi, little to no action at all
but the girls here are Guns. (Yes, they are guns)

Don't recommend El Cazador, besides being terrible, the entire plot is built around magic and witches.

Gunslinger Girl season one is full of gun porn.

Canaan and Phantom are also good.

How about Gunsmith Cats? As the title suggests, all of the action involves gun fighting and there are no fantasy or science fiction elements in it. The animation is quite good too plus it apparently has a very accurate depiction of Chicago in the 1990s if that sort of thing interests you. The guns are also drawn in considerable detail as well.

seconding Upotte!! It's a decent show about guns and girls (or rather, the girls are the guns) and quite accurate. About the only quibble is that they mention the Steyr AUG as hailing from Australia in CR's subs (though the narration says Austria, which is correct), and that at one point a FAL L1A1 lets off a full auto burst, though it should be noted that it was possible to convert originally semiauto-only L1A1s to full auto.

You could watch the Kite movies/OVA's. They're on the graphic side though and I think the unrated version has what would be classed as hentai.

The sequel sucked pretty hard, I wouldn't recommend it.

The only thing he would find in Noir is the feeling of watching something he already has watched.

Do you guys never read the description but only title? He clearly mentions what he has watched yet you keep suggesting them again and again.

So many posts and nobody remembers Madlax.

I'd give that a shot. Not fantastic, but not bad either.
