What kind of scientist officially refers to them as 'heroes' ?!?!
A Kihara no doubt.Wow. Seeing the #2 babysitting and guarding a little girl, it almost feels like a dream. How the mighty have fallen.

Tsuchimikado caught an ass whooping, wow
And I just have to say this
I am not use to Touma crying, this was unexpected

It was said before that Touma was angry but he's actually emotionally destroyed right now
, holy crap
.
Well, to be honest wasn't he like that during vol.20??? The part where Fiamma told him to fuck off with his morality when he lives deceving Index or something like that?

I can't say its a win for him when Motoharu was shot on the side and lost a lot of blood after using magic twice.

And now this:

“The final phase begins. Fiiirst, let’s get the ball rolling by ending this person’s life.”
So, they wan't to kill Hamazura by making the others think the actual target is another person?

The same kind that makes bio-weapons for giggles, apparently. There must be a Kihara behind this whole plan, it's the only explanation.

So yeah, Agitate Halation just got a million times weirder. Fremea is basically being made into the ultimate damsel in distress? And to be used as a sample to collect information on how to beat anyone with the will to help another human being? That's a really ambitious plan. And so weird.

Fremea is bait.

I thought it was weird since the beginning, because unlike the other damsels there's absolutely no value to Fremea- she's just a little sister of a mid-level Darkness member.

I wonder how far back this project began... From that time with Skill-out?

Indeed, she is the bait, and once she works as one the person who was lured in the trap will end dying like Komaba.

The backup plan using Skill Out, the primary plan using the Freshmen, and the secondary plan using Kakine Teitoku all progressed well. The artificially-created weak individual was confirmed to fill the position of the cornerstone to resolving each of these plans. Details can be found in the corresponding documents.
At that time was Komaba.

Is obvious who the next target will be at this point if they want to break Fremea's mind.

So this big darkness project is the most simplistic type of trap ever in a big scale...

I think we may have overestimated the Kiharas just a bit. Sure, it has kind of worked so far, but... yeah

It's almost like the principle behind espers. "Let's put this little girl in danger and see what happens". I guess the big step is that now they're trying to control the results, but it doesn't make it less... yeah...

Well, it is a unique idea. Got to give them some credit at least.

The fact that those in the darkness even need to carry out this experiment on trying to find out how to defeat heroes is laughable. They are scared of good will people who want to help out others. Even though they have more power then these heroes and can easily kill them if they don't start to act retarded.

Read careful- It's to turn the good guys against each other.

Especially the troublesome ones.

Still its the same.

Wasn't the Kihara with the bacteria mold shit scared when he saw Touma coming for him?
Wasn't that Kihara on a wheelchair shit scared the moment the young lady Kihara started to mimic Kamijou Touma?

In other words Kihara are shit scared of heroes like Touma.

More like caught off guard, and lets face it all of you were also surprised by it.

And it's not the same, turning your enemies against each other is always better than doing it yourself.

And it's also insurance against future threats.

So they're basically trying to find the perfect conditions to make heroes kill each other? That's slightly less dumb, but it still involves throwing a little girl into the flames and take notes.

Not to mention the unpredictability, the heroes can turn a situation around completely

Killing a hero with standard means is difficult. They possess a unique ability to suddenly reverse situations where they have an overwhelming disadvantage. However, that ability cannot help them in a conflict between two heroes.

What if someone other than a 'hero' joins in the fray?

This plan is pretty much welcoming uncertainties like that.

Plus some of these guys are protected by powerful people.

Seria has been hinted to be covering for certain individuals and I'm sure Tsuchimikado has his things.

That said, for every one of these successful heroes, how many do you think failed and were swallowed up by the darkness?

It's not just that, heroes are uncontrollable. If it's for the sake of protecting someone, they'll interfere in things that most people would avoid because of self preservation. Plus, once a hero gets serious, you can't bribe them or negotiate with them or anything like that.

Look at Accelerator for example. To save Last Order, he's even attacked Board Directors.

Wait, why doesn't that ability work in a clash between two heroes? Is it because it only works against the bad guys?

Just one making it is enough trouble already.

And that clearly applies to Touma as well, minus the bloodshed and general violence, of course.
