Imagine SHAFT (doubt it but you never know) and Akiyuki Shibo adapting this. No or Go?

I don't think Shaft would be a fitting choice for this anime since it may look or sound too artsy. J.C Staff and A-1 Pictures on the other hand are very invested in romantic comedies before so I think either of them could work on Nisekoi's animation and Brains' Base could be a nice choice as well.

^Personally I don't want A-1/Aniplex touching this with a 10 foot pole so I'd take almost anyone else. Brain's Base would probably be my top pick though.

How did you not want that? I heard they did a good job on Oreshura's animation-wise, so I think it would be nice for them to animate another rom-com.

Well for one thing Aniplex would equal Aniplex USA getting it and seeing as I might want to actually buy the anime if it's a good adaption I'd prefer it being affordable. Plus after A-1's recent screwups I don't really trust them. Their not at the bottom of my list for studios I want doing this but their pretty far from the top.

That's what I was thinking. I'm honestly surprised by both Nisekoi and it getting an anime.

Don't see what Shinbo's style could bring to this so not really

A-1 aren't a studio in the traditional sense of the word, unlike studios like bones or Kyoani or shaft or madhouse etc there's almost nobody that works full time there, it's just a bunch of freelancers and the staff on each A-1 project can be very different, so I would'nt judge any upcoming A-1 just based on what the studio itself has done but on the actual staff working on it.

A-1 or AIC Build should get it. I would also not mind the off chance of feel. getting it. Given Jump's history though, J.C.Staff does seem the most likely place it will land. Which could be either a good or bad thing.

Confirmed for TV anime.

If it's popular I'm betting they adapt a similar model as Bakuman (and Nurarihyon to a lesser extent) and make a new season every year, probably with 1-cour increments instead of two. A-1, AIC Build, Brains Base, and J.C.Staff are all good studios for this. I'm betting it's J.C.Staff.

J.C.Staff always produces 5-6 animes a season.

Don't spread nonsense. Norm for them is to make 2-3 series in one season. More is rare thing.

They have 2 this season and they had 3 2-cour series in Fall and Winter.

Always was a bit much, but they've done it very recently in the past. My point is that their workload is not so big that they can't produce Nisekoi and there's precedent for them producing large amounts of anime in one season, especially the bigger ones. And anyway they were producing the Index movie last year so that factors in as well.

JC staff is also notable for butchering adaptations so would be so happy if they are the studio.

Phh. J.C. Staff failed adaptations much less than A-1 and couple of other known studios. I can't understand all this hate for them.

And here I thought Zexcs is currently the popular choice for people to hate on 'failed adaptations', especially with this cour's Aku no Hana. And let's not speak of ItsuTen...

To be honest, JC staff hasn't spectacularly failed an adaptation since 2011 (Hidan no Aria or Yumekui Merry, take your pick... unless you count Sakurasou where J-otakus hated it not because it was bad per se, but because of inserted Korean references ). Before that, you have to go back to 2007's KimiKiss where they weren't "truly faithful" to the source material, or go back a couple of years to find the ones where the fans hated how they deviated from the souce. (For all its popularity, I remember first season of Shana and Zero no Tsukaima as having some of its fans being vocal about its deviations. Later seasons I heard stayed more true on the source)

In general, they're actually very consistent that they have few extremes on both ends of the spectrum. For every extremely bad or extremely well done adaptation they do, they tend to make 5 thats around average. And as someone who values consistency, that's the reason why JC Staff is my favourite animation studio right as of this moment (and has been for the longest time).

So yeah, JC Staff + Okada here plox. No, I'm not crazy.

I don't know...I'm of the opinion that Sunrise's Studio 8, along with Hanada Jukki would be a great fit for this.
