Looks like the site will keep on adding a girl in their website as the anime approaches.

Judging from your avatar, you seem like more of a Noel fan

There's something I don't understand; why did this project retain the eroge's seiyuus when the Princess Lover mainstream anime didn't? Is it because this project's budget couldn't afford to hire more famous mainstream seiyuus?

Budget doesn't have to do anything with it. Just that some companies prefer to please the fans of original while other prefer to use names famous to anime audience. It's just diffrent ways for dealing things.

And I really hater people who think of seiyuus famous in VN community as some losers.

And yeah, Princess Lover is total porn in original while this one is normal VN

Let's ask you. Why COULDN'T they keep the eroge seiyuus, mainstream seiyuus are overrated.

Believe me, I'm all for eroge seiyuus reprising their roles in anime adaptations of those specific titles. But mainstream seiyuus are often more well-known and have "star power" to bring in viewers. Just look at how many roles Erika Narumi (the original voice for Sylvia van Hossen in the Princess Lover VN) has versus how many Megumi Toyoguchi (the voice for Sylvia Van Hossen in the Princess Lover anime) has.

Famous mainstream seiyuus cost more because they have more options, since usually more productions are vying for their time and talent. This means that almost all the time, the seiyuu budget has to be increased in order to get a seiyuu to perform for this specific show and not another.

I'm afraid you're mistaken. Walkure Romanze started out as an 18+ VN.

I think he meant as a comparison between the 2, because Walkure Romanze was really more like the usual eroge/VN while princess lover almost felt like a nukige due to the high ammount of H-scenes

Exactly.

Most of VNs on PC are 18+ but it doesn't make them porn. H-scenes are just a bonus to story if it's not a nukige or moege with high sexual content.

Probably in part because Ricotta is using the anime to promote the upcoming release of the 18+ PC fandisk. Usually these anime adaptations are intended primarily to promote consumer releases, but you'll notice that even on the official anime website there's a mini-banner back to Ricotta (the only company with a banner), and the official anime Twitter account is retweeting Ricotta promo. It's likely that Ricotta probably chose the game cast with the expectation of there being an anime this time around, and they may be one of the major anime funders this time.

It depends on the production company. They have a final say on what happens.
Budget for these sort of series will usually be small regardless. What happened to the shuffle era?

Its still eroge. A visual novel doesn't need to have H to be a visual novel. A nukige equates to nothing but sex, has little to no significant plot.

But still only people not familiar with VNs could call every 18+ one porn.

People call Bleach and Naruto Hentai. You either deal with it or you don't. I stopped caring a long time ago. Too much trouble to educate the ignorant masses.

So if they're using the original VAs for the anime it means my OVA dreams just crashed and burned .

Miyama artbook when?

No, it doesn't. They can just make H-OVAs for each character's route. Think of it as a collection of "less-censored" scenes.

That would be very unusual and princess lover is probably the only one that i can think of that had such a case.

Well, there were the H-OVAs produced for that old Kakyuusei 2 anime. But while the original game had its fans, I doubt the anime adaptation had many.

You could remember Green-Green with it's hentai OVA-sequel too.

Great news. I'm all for this anime adaptation. And unlike other people, i liked Princess Lover.

I hope we can have a Celia ending for the anime, not a [default-childhoodfriend] ending.

Personally I think it's better to leave such reviews in a game thread (if somebody is going to make one)

Sorry!

Anyway, with just 4 main girls i hope we can see a lot of their respective scenarios, specially Celia.

If i remember well, her scenario is the only one where we know more about the protagonist's past.
