We can just chalk it down to him already being broken from the very start...which may or may not have been worsened by his present condition. That or he may have not known proper hope, which would only further explain his despair.

generous friend lend me psp
i've finished the prologue and its fvking great, far better than DR1. from happy vacation into despair survival game. And there are so many cute lovely girl (actually all except dat blond twintail)
poor hinata, his seiyuu is conan and so his attitude, so over cautious of all thing, and just when he relaxed, monokuma intervene lol

giant monobeast from not so large statue, turning chicken into cow, jaberwock island is already... (blank, maybe destroyed? or extinct from map?)... dr situation is crazy but real, that thing i stated are already surreal, is this virtual reality death game like sao or something? -_-

------------------------

and....
Spoiler for chapter 1 - 3... and some speculation:

i hope this will released by 2014 after DR1, and VITA price must be far cheaper than now, i will definitely buy this game so i could enjoy this as much as possible with english gameplay

i just finished this and have to say, this is fvking good
solving case 4 is my favorite, so complex but no deus ex machina at all
and case 5 was super awesome, fucking genius and cunning case, he really make use of his talent, unlike naegi-kun (and im.... im not crying at the end of trial
.... ba-baka!)

and i have several questions...
Spoiler for end game spoiler:

^ No, that influence is basically worldwide. There wasn't even any mention that politics work "normally".

A question for those who have completed the second game is there any possibility of there being a sequel or does everything end here?

The possibility of making a sequel is there, however I have hard time to imagine the sequel being the same mutual killing detective game, considering SDR2 setup and ending.

I think it still leaves some ways for a sequel, though, still a decent point to end if they ever decided to not continue it.

Well, I know there's a summary of volume 2 floating around on tumblr (and both volumes are fully translated in Chinese), but that's all I'm aware of. I'm personally waiting for the Oren translation myself, though.

Personally, I can always see more rounds of mutual killing continuing as long as SHSL Despair still exists. They just have to set it up from a different angle aside from the memory shenanigans next time (I'm thinking...... nanomachines, maybe? ).

So the general consensus is that it's better than the 1st ?

Can't wait for it to get released in English

That depends. In the first game, one might treat it as a regular murder mystery game. But the unexpected twists and finale blows everyone away.

In the sequel, the cases are better, cast-wise is based on individuals' opinions, the finale is also better as Junko is more badass and the cast are more cornered and mind****. However, they throw out all the first game plot twists to you straightaway, and even without them you should be able to deduce or expect the plot developments as you already know what the game is truly about.

So for some I know, they feel that the plot twists in the sequel are not that impactful, although if its reversed (first and second game), the twists are better. So opinions basically varies by the person. For me Komaeda pwns everyone so sequel wins =D

Yeah, like I said, nanomachines.

BTW, I think I think it would be hilarious as hell if Spike expanded upon that silly little Monomi minigame you unlock in chapter 2 and made a full-length game out of it. Like maybe in addition to playing as Monomi, we could also play as some of the student characters like Hinata or (more fittingly) Nanami. And instead of fighting against just Monobear and his Monokemono (or Monobeasts if we go by the Oren translation) as bosses , maybe some of the other students could fit as bosses as well (maybe the ones who ended up becoming culprits?). Heck, I'd play a game like that!
