Etsusa Bridge

I haven't seen a thread for this, anyway, has anyone read Etsusa Bridge? I've been curious since it looks interesting and I often heard it being called "the Japanese Baccano" since there's more violence than in Durarara and so.

Plot
Quote:
Set on a giant, almost finished bridge between Sadogashima and Niigata. Abandoned by the government, the bridge, and the giant man-made floating island at the center, has become a city of criminals and societal drop-outs. Set in the same world as Durarara, but 15-20 years later.
Except for the general background that I read from anni_fiesta and that Celty and Shinra seem to be related to the bridge, I haven't seen anything about it. Does anybody have more info?

I haven't even heard anything about this in the first place So I guess Durarara itself will end soon, huh?

Nice to see a thread for this.

Slight clarification though, Etsusa Bridge isn't anymore of a sequel to Durarara! then Baccano (or Vamp! for that matter) is.

They all just share the same world with the plots happening at different timelines and sometimes co-currently with some characters showing up /referenced here and there. For example, the main character is the son one of Durarara! secondary characters Kinosuke Kuzuhara (the traffic cop), but there isn't much connection to series storywise beyond that.

Basically, it's the same way how Tsukihime and the Fate series are related.

Even if there isn't much connection, it seems like it could be interesting. Actually, I think it not being a sequel is better. The few small connections are fun to find in things like this.

This thread title is misleading. Can it be edited?

It still says "Etsusa Bridge (Durarara! sequel)"

Maybe it takes time to change? Because when I go to the edit settings the title is fixed although in the thread itself still is the same

Maybe a mod or something can change it?

I'm not disagreeing with this at all. The two series are definitely related, but it's on a more "world building" level. Saying it's set in the same world or time rather than direct sequel is more accurate.

There is one, his name is Eiji Kuzuhara. Despite the fairly large female presence it's not harem either to my knowledge.

Ryohgo Narita doesn't really do Harems- I remember reading an small part of his conversation with Kamachi Kazuma that he prefers to have fixed pairings first then work from there.

Something about not keeping the readers guessing

Well, having 10+ leading characters with own their plotlines would kinda make that difficult anyway.

From what I've seen there's a great number of character and many are male.
Spoiler for First volume cover:

I know that there's 4 volumes and a gaiden. Is he going to release more volumes?
