Send/Reply PM Form boxes could use dynamic resizing

Recently, when I was replying to some long PMs, I noticed the inconvenience of scrolling a lot in the Reply PM form. I usually use a 27-inch full-HD widescreen monitor, and realize that it would be nice if I don't need to scroll so much if the Form were wider and filled up the huge blank spaces to the left and right:

On examining the page source (conveniently thanks to Google Chrome), it seems like the width has been hard-coded rather than using a %-value (I'm no html expert though, especially when my rusty, much forgotten knowledge dates back to 2000).

Code:
<div align="left" style="max-width:640px; width:auto !important; width:480px">
Minor thing, but yup, it would be nice to have this changed.

These are the default settings of this version of vBulletin in this case. I'm not saying it can't be changed, but that's why it's that way in the first place.

Since you're using Chrome, you can already go half-way by grabbing the resize control in the bottom-right corner and stretching the textarea out. It's at least better than nothing for now.

You're right, I didn't know that. Funny it only works on bottom-right.

For the Mac users, Safari also supports this behavior. It's pretty handy.

Firefox supports this as well. I only discovered it by accident when I moved my cursor to the bottom right corner and a resizing tool appeared.
