Hard to connect to wifi when one device is on

Hi, whenever my family uses their ASUS Eee Box Nettop Intel Atom D410 on wifi, it becomes really difficult for my 2 ipad mini to connect and maintain the connection to my wifi. I dont think its a speed issue since i have fios 50/25 and my router is really close to all the devices.

What possible solutions are there? Thanks

Apparently, your wireless router has problems with load balancing, that is, one client takes more bandwidth than another, such as streaming video or downloading.

Can you tell us what router you were using?

Based on my experience... Some device really just sucks a lot of data compared to other devices.

i turned my wireless adapter settings all to low on that nettop, so it does not affect the main computer and online games of ps3. It just makes it so hard for my other devices to even connect.
