She's a least half human I'd say, remember when Lady Koto carry a baby in her arms. I also think this secret is Koto noticed she's Inari's daughter and that's why Koto checked Inari's eyes in the morning.

This series continues to impress and this is brilliant how they include OVA parts in the series.

I thought she was checking to see if he was crying as per her dream, although your idea makes a lot of sense too. But when was Lady Koto carrying a baby, I don't recall that moment in this episode or the past one, was it in episode 0?

When I heard we'd get a full series of Kyousogiga, I was both excited and afraid. I'd loved the earlier incarnation, and I knew there was a lot of potential, but it's just so off-beat that it was a real question whether the TV environment would let them fulfill their vision.

I keep hesitating and watching the episodes later than I could, because I'm so afraid they'll mess up. The opening was pretty much a summary, inconclusive. But the two episodes that followed consistently exceeded my expectations.

I loved last season's Uchouten Kazoku, and now this. Something's telling me to go to Kyouto...

I laughed at child Koto beating up people, she looks so fun, LOL.

And yes... I bet Koto is half human, half god.

Especially with the opening "line between god and human" sentence.

PS: ep 3 preview, did I just saw a son-goku (the monkey god) reference? LOL

^ I thought the "line between god and human" line was a reference to how Myoue 1.0 was in some ways just a normal human but for Mirror Kyoto he might as well be a god since he created it but that's certainly a theory too....

^ Those lines probably have more than one meaning.

Another awesome episode. This is my favorite show of the season so far. It's almost criminal how under-hyped this is.

This is one of my favorites too.

But there's no tits/ass, moe(unless Koto Jr counts?) or battles(so far) so of course the Western companies probably won't touch this with a ten foot pole.

You're not overthinking. He's most likely that person, or at least a reincarnation of that person.

Yes indeed, there is a lot that is hinted at but not spelled out plainly - of course the whole "life is but a dream" monologue/recitation (anyone know if this is a quote from Shakespeare btw?) at the beginning of the ONA/ep 0 of the tv series could call a lot what seem to be obvious conclusions into question. Just to mess with the audience, perhaps. ^^

That being said, I am inclined to agree with Kazu-kun's responses, but especially the "most likely" part of them.

The initial poem is from Lewis Carroll. The show's full of references to Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass too.

But its lack of genre conventions is precisely why I'm enjoying it so much. It just feels so fresh.

I guess the lack of western viewers can mostly be chalked up to distribution issues. Its a shame because these kinds of really unique animes are the ones that westerners tend to love (ex: FLCL, Haibane Renmei, Ergo Proxy).

What a fantastic series! my favorite from this -already great- season..
I've watched episode 0 and the first episode, and they connected very well. I'll watch episode 0 again to really grasp everything.

yeah really, but I feel that episode 0 somehow turned people down because of it's complex and random nature.
