Sure, I'll try. I'm planning to draw 2 characters though. Might do it all in the week end so I don't have to draw next week xD

The more I look at it, the more I think you are blurring the picture a bit too much - rather, the focal areas where the viewers want to have their eyes focused on. If you can show an example of the drawing BEFORE taking it to PhotoShop, blurring and using Gradient Map (color/hue) options.

What version of PhotoShop are you using?

How long have you been doing this for? I've been learning to draw anime but I've only gotten as far as detailing a face, how'd you become so experienced and btw can you draw Mashiro for Sakurasou no pet na kanojo?

It does seem a bit too blurry. xD I should lessen the opacity more. I'm using Photoshop CC
Thanks for the comment!

The opacity won't really help much since the outer parts from the focal (the focal in your pictures are usually a feature and the pupils of the eyes, or just the pupils of the eyes).

I'll message you.

I'll lessen the opacity aaaand the Gaussian Blur effect I tested it. It doesn't seem blurry. I'll use the effect more on the eyes aswell.

Erase the pupils when you do G_blur. In fact, when you G_blur it blend it to Multiply, reduce to 30-40% and erase the pupils. Try that.

The blur effect is a mistake. Anyone looking isn't going to focus right at the individual lines so it actually just looks like viewing though really thick glasses.

Your drawings are actually really good. Lines look confident.

question: do you look at a reference pic when drawing, or drawing with a pic in your mind?

I prefer drawing an original because you can make a "mistake" a part of the drawing. I've drawn a few original characters, but they're not really that good. They're decent I guess. I draw from reference because it's good practice for drawing original characters. It could really help.
