I see that people still have horrible taste in OST's .
Shirobako winning makes sense since it seemed to really remind most of the anime community, jaded or not, why they love the medium in the first place. I don't think it was the best of the year, but it definitely had a special quality to it.

I can only bring myself to spite the winner for 'best OST' so....that's all I'll say for that
On the other hand. I'm definitely glad to see Mushishi & Love Live! winning the OVA + Movie categories. No more Mushishi...and it did end on a lovely note. While for Love Live! The last of that cast in an animated series work. They went out with a blast too, so hooray. As for the other category I was hoping for....female lead! Very pleased to see Yona take the award there. And another 'huzzah!' for Shirobako and the awards it claimed. hooray for doughnuts. drug laced doughnuts Thanks again to the folks that ran the awards.

Well, my vote for best movie (Psycho-Pass) got second place to the Love Live Movie, but I kind of saw that one coming given the large Love Live fanbase on this site.
As for the other stuff, based on the results as far as stuff I missed, starting Akatsuki no Yona and will be getting onto Shirobako next. |

As I said, I felt that this series did not have that point of strong romance, I felt it more as a friendship kind of thing up until the last episode. Kaori confesses after what happened(which lead to nowhere since there's nothing that could be done, just personal growth for the mc), then the other girl kinda show her feelings but the series was over so... ok.
Throughout the series I never actually felt that romance was needed, like, I cared more about how everyone grew as a person and came to accomplish or not what they wanted(and the music obviously). Against the other options(ore monogatari and rakudai) this kinda feel weak in the romantic department(which for me is a lot more developed in those stories). Just personal opinion.

Of the anime and films I've seen in 2015, these awards are all at least good and not a single AS Snub happened (we had losers but the competition was fucking fierce). Aside from OPM as best comedy
Stay tuned in early 2017 for the ERASED awards?

The current season is already insane for me. I think I like (almost) every show—when usually it's just 1-2 shows, and most of the time they just catch my interest and little more.
If 2016 can keep it up it will be on track for one of my favorite years, and the awards will be bloody. That said based on the results from the awards (nomination phase included) it appears I've missed most of the good shows this year. oops It's unfortunate past me was very unlucky, but current and future me has a lot to look forward to and catchup on.
