Anyone else have this game and played it a bit? So, has anyone managed to unlock the other characters yet or are they unlockable?

One guy opened up the .p files and found pictures of their endings so they have to be unlockable, somehow.

I opened up the p files and found no endings for them.

HOWEVER, Aoko does have a character select screen button from what I saw.

The guys over at revolve have been playing it a lot and also released some sort of English patch for the demo. You might want to see if they have any more information.

Finished it with every character on every mode

Its rumoured all over the jap sites that you'll have to wait for a patch just like the Nero patch from the Original Melty blood to be able to use
White Len, Aoko, Equipped Ciel, aaand Cat Arc

Cat arc is such an annoying character....
and aoko's ArcDrive looks sooo cool

mircx has a torrent called 'Melty Blood OST + MeltyBlood re.act unlocker'
i downloaded it and followed the instruction, yet i dun see anything happened. Did u guys tried this patch? If it works, tell us how u do it cos, i dun really understand the instruction given.

Run the exe, it starts the game for you.

In the game, press the 4th button over Arc, Ciel, Ren and someone else (For Aoko). Scroll through the characters alternate colors, and right at the end is the secret character.

tjm, the author of the unlocker, released a new version of it that works with the patch.

Also note that Giant Akiha, who was playable in the original Melty Blood via a similar unlocker program, is extra-special double unplayable in Melty Blood REACT. In fact, the unlocker that was posted here does let you select her, by choosing the fourth color over Akiha...

But apparently trying to have a player control her will not only cause the game to crash, but will corrupt your saved data files and force you to reinstall. You can still have the CPU play as her whenever you want (and trying to launch her will no longer hang the game), but giving her to a PC is a definate no-no.

Just a warning.

I can't find any air combos for Satsuki though, any help?

Satsuki is a purely ground fighter, I believe. She's pretty strong in that area, so that's where you should really focus if you play her; she does really well in that regard.

I see, thanks. Satsuki's EX ground grab is just begging for an aircombo though and the best I could do is tack on a jumping medium. XD

Just got the game patched and running.

I decided to practise with Ciel first and I can already do most of her moves fairly reliably, but I just can't make Seventh Holy Scripture work.

Could it be that my keyboard simply can't handle it? I've tried doing it in different speeds but it just doesn't work.

I'm also having trouble with her juggle. I suppose her easiest launcher is 2+C,2+C, but I'm not sure of how to continue from there. Sometimes I can jump and connect with B,C, but 95% of the time it misses and I can't continue any further even if it connects.

cause they dont take consective quick keystrokes too well

That sequence is used for virtually every Heat/Blood Heat super, so if you can't do it then you can't really play Melty Blood React too well.

I suggest you get a gamepad. They're pretty cheap, really. One possibility is to get one of the PSX->USB converters that'll let you use a PSX gamepad with your computer... they only cost around 10$, and they'll last you a long time. They're especially good, obviously, if you already have PSX gamepads lying around, but even if you don't you can pick up PS1 gamepads cheap these days. Plus, the official PSX gamepads are relatively sturdy, and a lot of games nowadays are designed with that layout in mind.

Better yet, get two gamepads, so you can play against a friend.

Oh yeah I managed to pull it off a few times now. Took many, many attempts and I can now do the supers fairly well, but I still mess it up quite often. Keyboards aren't suitable for those kinds of moves. >_<

Anyway, I think I'll buy a couple USB cords and a couple Xbox controller connectors so I can use my Xbox pads and it's really cheap too.

I don't know what it says and yes I own the full game and I have changed my launguage settings. Please help.

change system back to JP should run, if not rename the file when u install the game
