That Heat-Cavs game was a fiasco....Meh, that issue is over. Time to see how Miami handle the big teams.

Agreed. Tonight was fun but the Heat are still an abysmal 1-10 against teams above .500.

I think the Bulls have been doing pretty good this season. Although, on November 23 against the Lakers, they started to dwindle. But who knows, maybe they will beat Oklahoma City Monday.

I've seen Spo since he took over from Riley, he's a bad coach. People compare him to Doc Rivers alot in situation... I've seen Rivers draw up plays that work.. including stuff like getting Big baby a buzzer beating shot against the Bulls in the finals, drawing a play for rondo to get to the rim against Miami with 1.5 seconds left after wade nearly stole the game etc. He has the respect of his players which is more than I can say for Spo and if Spo was coaching Boston when their big 3 came together than I doubt Rondo, Perkins and Big Baby would be as good as they are today.

It looks like Yao is going to be out indefinitely. They're saying it could possibly be a career ending injury. Big loss to the Rockets. While he may not have been the best, he's always been a solid player.

Yao's reminding me of Michael Olowokandi. I think Rockets should trade Yao. He hasn't completed a season and every year he's out for an injury.

Yeah but thing is, which team would want him considering his tendency to get injured all the time? It's really a shame that Yao never got to realize his full potential.

Thumbs up NBA and College Basketball Thread

Hey Everybody

Well For the NCAA Basketball March Madness is almost here, and for the first time in many years the NBA has been going through one of its most intense seasons! As the NBA season approaches the halfway point, no one has come up with an answer yet of who will be the MVP and what teams will make it to the top!

As in the Football Thread "So let's have fun and make a good, trash talkin', in your face!"

Speaking of NBA

Heat is not as good as the hype lived up to be

and One sentece "I want to go higher" D-Rose for MVP?

and will Lebron ever win his Ring?

Bumped for Blockbuster three team trade: Carmelo is finally going the Knicks.

New York to receive:
  • Carmelo Anthony
  • Chauncey Billups
  • Shelden Williams
  • Anthony Carter
  • Renaldo Balkman

Denver to receive:
  • Wilson Chandler
  • Raymond Felton
  • Danilo Gallinari
  • Timofey Mozgov
  • Knicks' 2014 first-round draft pick
  • Warriors' (via New York) 2012 second-round pick
  • Warriors' (via New York) 2013 second-round pick
  • $3 million dollar cash considerations

Minnesota to receive:
  • Anthony Randolph
  • Eddy Curry

Looks like the Knicks knocked out extra cap to try to sign Chris Paul this offseason as well. . .

I wonder how Amare and Melo will play together... They are both ball hogs, so I honestly don't know.

I'm not loving the trade from the standpoint that Carmelo was going to go to the Knicks no matter what, and if the Knicks signed him with their current roster they would be better quicker...

Carmelo was never going to sign an extension with the Nets...The Knicks had the leverage and while I wouldn't say they panicked they clearly got figidity in the end and gave up the ghost...Knicks had the best position of all the suitors, I hate that they loss so much, but atleast Landry Fields can rest easy...The team that gets the best player usually wins these tradewinds, but I have no doubt Carmelo was going to the Knicks regardless...

Melo isn't. He doesn't need the rock to be effective.

Well I live in Denver and I'm a Nuggets fan. It's sad to see Billups go. But considering the fact that we all knew Melo wasn't going to stay, I think the Nuggets got a pretty damn good deal for him, Billups, Carter, Balkman, and Williams. Felton's much younger and he's been doing great this year in NY. Same for Gallinari and Chandler. Not to mention Timofey, who can act as a replacement for either Nene or Martin, since both of their contracts are up after this year. Nuggets also got 1 first round pick and 2 second rounds picks, plus $3 million. I mean, no team is ever going to get a perfectly even deal when superstars are involved, but I'm satisfied with the way it turned out. Now we don't have trade rumors disrupting the team and they can focus on rebuilding.
