near the end, you see a brunette cute woman step out of an empty house. Like furniture gone and everything. She smiles then closes the door.

Who is that???

also, in case I can't put 2 and 2 together, what's the significance of that scene?

Well, just in case anyone is worried, I'll /spoiler my shot at the answer

She looked like a cleaning lady. I'm assuming the significance is to show that Takayuki and Mitsuki's old apartment is now vacant and they moved out (and on with their lives)....

I don't THINK she had any greater meaning than to allude to that.

Akane's best friend Chizuru from MuvLuv also made an appearance during the epilogue, although it's hard to notice her.
