You have given us almost no information with which to help you. Since we aren't mind readers we don't know how you actually tried to play it. I'll take a stab in the dark at the most common problem that we see. Through much trial and error, tested upon countless newbies we have found this simple and quick solution that will fix at least 98% of all problems that we see. I expect it will work on your problem as well.
Uninstall all your codecs. Trust me. All of them: Uninstall DivX. Uninstall XviD. Uninstall ffdshow. Especially uninstall any Codec packs, They are Evil! Download and install ffdshow. You'll find it listed as [Level 1] on the Media Configuration Guide. After you have done this you should be able to play videos with pretty much any video player, but if you are still having trouble, then try using Media Player Classic.

This post belongs into the Playback Help Forum but nevermind ^_^
Step1: Uninstall all of your codecs Step2: Go here and download ffdshow-alpha Step3: Install the mkv codec. Step4: Playback with Medial Player Classic (mkv files) or other players (other files than mkv) Step5: Have fun ![]() Step 3-5 are optional. Step 1-2 will be all you need for most animes. EDIT: Bah, NSW...
