Who shouldn't have died?

^Some members found Itachi to be a fav character. And I still believe that he shouldn't have died and I kind of disagree, I didn't like the way he died at all, his death was just unexpected imo.

no, i understand and yeah itachi's death was obviously created havoc but unexpected? i couldn't see itachi outliving his fateful fight with sasuke....at all. the best itachi could've gotten was some graving out and kishi delivered.

^Agreed. But I was actually hoping that Itachi would live longer. Most of the Akatsuki died too fast imo.

Itachi dying was one of the highlights of part 2 along with pain vs naruto. Im not trying to bash him or anything but i felt kishi did what was right and what we all knew was inevitable.

By the way i think pain shouldn't have died. Just for the simple fact that he was the most bad ass of bad asses there was.

Deidara shouln't have died. He was awesome and great, the only one who had a unique personality and abilities. He's my favorite character in Naruto along with Jiraiya and Kakashi who also didn't deserve to die. I'll miss them forever...TT___TT

Right now it feels that the only death that held little to no meaning in Naruto is Gekko Hayate's at the hands of Baki. Itachi's death triggered Sasuke's revenge, Jiraiya's was essential for the Pain arc, and Nagato couldn't really be left alive after what he had done, and so it goes...

i think the real question is "who should have died?"

Hinata should have died...oh well, hopefully Kishi will actually DO something with her, besides filling pages of generic respect towards Naruto. Kind of wondering why Zetsu hasn't died yet btw.

Since I don't see anybody else saying this name, I might be alone here, but

Konan. Her death was completely pointless, and I'm not just saying that cause I liked her. There is zero reason she should have survived past Naruto vs. Pain if she was just going to die the next time she appeared, after having done literally nothing else. Back when Nagato died, I assumed her survival meant she'd be helping Naruto in some capacity, whether in battle or even in character development. I half had a hope she might even grow into a surrogate mother figure to Naruto, given both their links to Nagato and Jiraiya, the shared dreams, etc. (guess I should've known better)

But no, not that, not anything. She survived, then died. She should've either died with Nagato, or still be alive now. I swear, it was Jiraiya's death all over again. Acceptable in theory, yes, but done at the most annoyingly random time.

Instead, she'll be remembered as a criminal whose passing went by unknown by anyone but Tobi. And I guess the Rain. Who knows what the current status of the village is now.

Oh yes, I'd forgotten about that too. And when you put it that way, it reminds me that it really was an ugly death.
