I never get Chinese parenting. On the other hand, both my parents are doctors so whenever I got sick back then as a kid some nagging should be expected.

I skipped over 200 days of school in each of my last years in highschool. My response to parental nagging was to become more and more delinquent until they no longer expected anything from me. Then again, I was very bitter at my lot in life at that age, you get over it..

That said, as a delinquent, you get to spend more time with girls, drink and smoke at a young age and highschool was actually relatively fun, cause there were very few classes..

Damn alpha lol. My middle school was hiding in the library so I don't get my textbooks and pencilbox stolen and cut up by your kind.

Then again, you delinquents probably did good job at demeaning a potential school bomber who mixed petrol with styrofoam and fertiliser then stored it in a biscuit tin.

I skipped school in order to do work for the classes I was skipping. Losing classtime was simply collateral damage.

I had a few friends who would do this right before college credit exams to study. It did seem like a decent tradeoff for a higher test score.
