Ughh, I REALLY hope they don't do something stupid like having Kurama come back. His death with Mariko fit perfectly in the Anime and it would just be stupid trying to make an excuse of him surviving when its clear that he didnt (the explosion was rather large, even a last second lunge away would get you burned to a crisp or at least have your internal organs turned to mush from the blast shock anyways.)

EDIT. I read the first chapter of the Manga and am actually dissappointed with it. The art style is cheesy IMO and the way things play out in the Anime seems much better or more reasonable.

Heh, thats actually pretty rare because for a number of series I usually enjoy or like the Manga better than the anime, but this time the Manga seems inferior IMO.

Read a whole volume before declaring the manga as "inferior" please =) Both the manga and the anime has their procs and cons, but i do not think either one is "inferior" to one another. They simply have their own strengths in certain areas

the manga artwork is definitely worse than the anime, but the story is by far superior and more "complete" than the anime, also the art work actually makes Lucy look more evil which is a plus IMO

Kurama could very well be alive, Mariko may have protected him with her vectors, or throw herself away from Kurama in the last second. The vectors can protect a person from something much more than a big explosion, and remember Mariko has dozens of them

WOW! Just finished watching all 13 eps...even though I was suppose to study for my exam. But I just couldn't stop.

I hope that it could be a little bit longer.

Anyways, I found elfen lied to be great.

Elfen Lied, AWESOME, But...

Hi all,
This is my first post, so "hi" I guess...
***THE FOLLOWING DOES NOT CONDONE NON-LICENSED ANIME IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM***
Just seen Elfen Lied the other day (it was incredible) and I ask anyone that still has the fansubs to check out episode 9. The part in which the police are surrounding the house after the "head/tricycle" scene... The cops actually yell "Come out with your pants down!" WTF? Thought I'd share this.. I always seem to notice this stuff... If this was brought up before, sorry, just thought it was amusing. Awesome job by the fansubbers, but they need to get more sleep or something...

The police didn't say that. It was the fansubber's idea of a joke. Personally I found it rather irritating that they decided to mistranslate a line for comedic effect in the middle of a tense scene, but... well... considering what we paid them for it, I suppose we didn't do too bad.

This isn't the first time that they inserted a joke either. On the TV set in a previous episode, that same group translated the text scrawl as "AJ News: Mass naked child events." On the other hand, there is a version by another group that had Nana saying "Rocket Fist" when she... well, you know.

I don't know what it is about Elfen Lied that attracts these kinds of practical jokers.

That song gives me the creeps every time I hear it
Edit:
What langauge is the Theme song from Elfen Lied in? My best guess is Latin.

That's correct!!

Wondering if ever there's a continuation, will they going to use the same opening song or employ a new one either in Latin or why not, German?

Maybe this song.

Quote:

und humpelt also tippe tapp
durch's Haselholz in's Tal hinab,
schlupft an der Mauer hin so dicht,
da sitzt der Glühwurm Licht an Licht.

"Was sind das helle Fensterlein?
Da drin wird eine Hochzeit sein:
die Kleinen sitzen bei'm Mahle,
und treiben's in dem Saale.
Da guck' ich wohl ein wenig 'nein!"

Pfui, stößt den Kopf an harten Stein!
Elfe, gelt, du hast genug?
Gukuk!
I can think of two more german songs that would fit Elfen Lied, I will post em when I find the Lyrics.

This is thuroughly off-topic but I just noticed that there's an unusually high concentration of Canadians on this thread (me included).

I don't think that a poem is fit for an opening because the rhythm is just off.
On a related note: The a capella version sung by a male chorus is vastly superior than the standard opening one IMO.

Maybe Canadians like violent animes more than other nations? Then again it might be just coincidence

To attract attention of course - isn't that what a signature is for?
You can still find my Azureus Download Guide here

By all means, make sure to read this.

Then the other two are not going to work(Industrial Metal Music) Allthough they do fit the anime.
