Indeed, and to prevent any questions:

http://www.rightstuf.com/cgi-bin/cat...em/55133/4/0/0

for Geneon's boxed set. Or you can look for the signature series releases with nice ugly red "SIGNATURE SERIES" things across the top of the cover, making it really ugly.

Trigun Re-release? Confirm or deny

A friend of mine told me that they're coming out with a re-release of the Trigun DVD set. He says it's an "Anime Legends" tin and it will cost somewhere in the range of 40-60 dollars. He is not refering to the two collectors tins that are already out. He claims to have seen a picture of it somewhere, possibly on the anime news network a while back. I've scoured the internet to try to find proof of this upcoming re-release, and have come up empty. Although his claim is sketchy, he's usually right about these sorts of things... eventually.

Can anyone confirm or deny a trigun re-release in the near future?

Edit: I did not originally reply to this thread because I thought it was generally frowned upon to bump a thread that's more than a year old.

Heh. Not my favorite kind of way to open up a Trigun discussion. I'm not a huge fan of discussions about relationships between characters. I get bored by those easily.

Trigun happens to be my favorite series of all time, and Trigun Maximum is the only manga I ever bought.

My favorite episodes were the one in which Legato is killed and the last episode. Glorious-ness. Trigun is the perfect balance between forms of entertainment. Drama, action, comedy, and science fiction intrigue.

^ a spoiler tag would have been nice

even though trigun's animation is obvioulsy out of date by todays standards, it was still enjoyable. it also one the best last episodes that i have seen.

is there a trigun manga which continues the story after the anime ends?

Trigun

I watched it for the first time a few years back and loved it.

I decided to track it down last week and I have to say it was an awesome idea.

Vash is one of the most amusing male protagonists in an anime ever.

I find myself laughing out loud to this series so often and it still feels fresh and relevant to the anime scene even though its well past its prime.

I strongly reccomend to anyone who's recently discovered the awesomeness of anime go and check this series out.

I think at one point it was shown on TV but people who watch dubbed anime should be slapped.

If you've already seen it but haven't watched it for a few years you should get it!! You wont regret it. ^_^

Ty for movin my post. A pm would be nice next time. ^_^

Technically not licensed but

Trigun the Movie announced at ANN!

Vash versus Wolfwood. Hmm..prequel? Since wolfwood dies in the Anime this is interesting. (Of course the manga has a different ending).

I figure the Trigun movie will be a side story of some sort kind of like the Cowboy Bebop movie.

I don't know, I think Trigun is a complete series. There's not much I can think of to add to it. Hopefully the movie will turn out decent.

Except there's the manga that's running and has a bit of an alternative look at it. Also, even with the TV series, there's a LOT of stretches in the story that hasn't been fleshed out. Even a lot of crucial scenes were only alluded to in the show.

Actually, I believe the manga has been over for a few months now. It's very different from the anime, though.

I know! But I still haven't finished it. I got up to the second (or third) to last volume, but the Library didn't have the next one!

Ahhhh good old Trigun! Vash The Stampede is probably one of my overall favorite anime characters of all time. Him, Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky the 4th, and Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop.
Trigun was a very unique series in many respects, though it didn't have the greatest of endings it was still an excellent series to get a part of.

Spoiler for Nicholas D Wolfwood:

On the contrary; I thought it was well-done. It was a touching moment that nearly brought me to tears.
Knives was a much better character in the manga, too. He was friggin' scary.

Yes I remember reading the Manga just to see the Vash vs Knives battle again. I love it to death.

Indeed, but Wolfwood's final battle trumps it by a long shot. (In the manga, I mean).
