Whenever we see Jiraiya, we almost always see him carriying a scroll on his back. Now, we know that scroll can't be the Summoning Contract between Frogs, since we saw (at least in the Anime) that the contract is a second, separate scroll.

That scroll could contain anything. You have a choice of:
- a copy of the Scroll of Seals (ie the 'Forbidden Jutsus')
- porn
- an advance copy of 'Icha Icha Paradise'
- a list of jutsus handed down from the previous Gama-Sennin
- research notes for 'Icha Icha Paradise'
- others
- That's not a scroll...that's a sleeping bag!!!

What do you guys think?

I personally think that it is a copy of the Scroll of Seals, given to him by the 4th Hokage as a thank-you gift. It may even contain the instructions on how to do all eight levels of Rasengan. Currenty, Jiraiya and Naruto are only able to master up to the third level. The scroll would open up the possibility for Jiraiya to teach Naruto all eight levels.

Personally I have to say it's the end user agreement for summoning frogs. It looks like it's about he right length.

Also, aren't 2, 3, and 5 really the same thing?
Anyway, what are you talking about 8 levels of the rasengan? I think you may have some bad info there. There are no levels for it, those 3 steps were just part of the training on how to do it. It's kind of like lifting weights, first you use a light weight, then as you get stronger you move on to heavier weights.

I do not think it is the frog contract. I believe that was stored in one of the frogs. It might be used for jitsu, and remember he did copy that black fire from itachi into it.

mmm.... it's the frog contract. Remember Naruto riding Gamabunta, and in the end Jiraiya takes the scroll from his back and flings it towards's Bunta. It lands on the floor and spreads out, revealing the signitures of past summoners.

It wouldn't make sense to give the scrolls to the frogs for savekeeping (and especially to store it 'in' a frog), because if the last summoner would die, nobody could summon the frog to get to the scroll.
But this is an interessting clue to the "Where do the summons live"-question. If they would be living in a completely seperate world, how could the first summoner have made a contract.

Considering that with our own eyes we saw him take it off his back, open it up and have Naruto sign it... I think there isn't any sane room for doubt that it could be anything other than the frog summoning contract unless he lied to Naruto about its purpose.
