How do I play Japanese games on my V2/V3 PS2?

?

Magic Slide is only compatible with V4-V9.. ;_;

Anything like Magic Slide? Or any mod chips that would work?

If mod chips are my only solution then:
How/where can I buy mod-chips?

Keep in mind, though, that unless they made an updated version since I got one, SwapMagic can't boot DVD9 games. Most games on DVD are on DVD5, so it shouldn't really matter much, but the really huge games (think Xenosaga, Star Ocean 3 Directors Cut, Final Fantasy XII) do use DVD9... but then, most of those games reach the other side of the ocean anyway.

Here's my question: with these import games, do they come with english language options, or am I talking with a bunch of people here who know japanese?

I don't think they come with English language, but some games (like fighting games) require little to no Japanese knowledge.
