I stopped myself from reading the complete spoiler... but damn. It's getting more interesting, but now my favourite character is turning into a loser... DAMN.

So that damn bishounen is stealing the show...

Well, I'll keep watching, I don't feel like dropping an anime so soon.

I'm ambivalent about watching the sub now.

When Chiho-chan was all wet... damn.

It seems EVERY girl is attracted to this damn bishounen Kishida Shun! I really don't understand what's going on. Now we have 3 girls who's eyes are on Kishida (Tamaki, Yuuri, and that librarian).

I'm not really understanding why Rouma would want to keep his injury a secret when all he did is fall down the stairs. I think he was victim of Kishida's teleport as well... hm.

I guess you can throw all my observations out the window. All the females who have seen Kishida are now blushing uncontrollably, so he's the "central character." But why the central character gets less airtime than the comic relief main character Oriya Rouma... I don't know.

In the Kakyuusei 2 game, Oriya Rouma is YOU, the player, you can find a translation of the prologue here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/computer/dos...me/921583.html I think there were some encoding errors or something, but's not that hard to see the pattern of mistakes and read through them.

EDIT: Nevermind, just make sure your encoding is set to Shift_JIS.

It's funny what Rouma thinks after his encounter with Takato Nanase, ahaha.

Grrrr….Damn that Nanase. Just because you’re the head of the executives group
doesn’t give you the right to act all high and mighty. Someday I will get you
to fall in love with me And I’ll stroke those pretty legs of yours to my
hearts content.

I agree, except I'll add on that the appearance of that crazy martial arts guy has made this show somewhat watchable. Good thing, because until he showed up I was ready to give up on this series. Now all we need is some good fighting sequences.

Episode 4 confirms a lot. Even in RAW form, I was cracking up constantly.

Spoiler for Episode Rundown:

Ohhh so the Main characters name is Oirya Rouma I see. Thanks alot I will make sure to edit that into my guide for the games prologue. And wow so far I haven't seen that much positive feedback about the Anime.Plus it appears Rouma isn't even the Main character. Oh well I hope its not that bad.

Heh, the moment I saw Kishida... I disliked him. I'm still wondering just what the hell is going on. The plot seems to be focused on Kishida and the origin of his otherworldliness. I've lost hope... It's gonna be a harem anime all about Kishida Shun and friends... I was hoping for an Oriya Rouma love story.

Well... there's always the game.

*goes and tries to figure out how exactly he got Nanase to date him the first time*

Do you need to watch Kakyuusei 1 before watching Kakyuusei 2? I've already seen 3 episodes of K2 so far but there are quite a few unexplained flashback/memories. Are those scenes from K1 and are they important things to know for K2?

If you see Episode 3 and 4, then some of the dark shrouds will be lifted.

Kakyuusei 1 or the OVA is not needed to fully understand or enjoy this anime, they are totally unrelated to Kakyuusei 2. Think of it as an alternate universe... or maybe like Final Fantasy VIII was to Final Fantasy VII. You might want to try playing the game though, but it's good if you at least have some grasp of the Japanese language.

To explain the flashbacks though, 99% of this anime is a flashback.

Every episode starts in the present, then we get the usual of the bell tower, then we go back into the past.

I don't know why the TV staff decided to take this approach. It certainly wasn't like that in the game. Hopefully it has some significance in the end.

It's also good to note (I've said this a couple of times now) that that plot of the anime seems very different from the game. All the characters ported from the game to the anime keep their personalities and identities, but the central character of the show isn't even present in the game, and there are two more non-game characters in the anime that I know of: The martial artist and the swimmer, Chiho.

Well, Kakyuusei 2 - 4 was a nice episode, but was slow. We are however provided with a better understanding of who Kishida is and why he's there.

Spoiler:

I never expected Kakyuusei 2 to have a sci-fi twist (hell... none of these is in the game).

From what I can see, Rouma is still the... "main character" (he gets the most screentime). His best chances for who he'll end up with right now seems to be Yuuri... but that could change... I think in the end it'll be Tamaki because

Spoiler:

Then there's the other option... the martial artist.

I'm still wondering where the hell the real plot is gonna come in and where Nanase is. In the episode 5 preview, she's nowhere to be seen. I don't think even Rouma has much of a role in episode 5, just the two teachers, Tamaki and Kishida.

Spoiler:

This is getting more interesting as the story progresses.

FINALLY

NANASE!!!

I don't even know why she's my favourite... She certainly doesn't like the main character much in the game at first. Maybe it was her hard-to-get, icyness... who knows, but it's about damn time she actually has a role in the series. I'm seriously doubting that we'll be given a complete conclusion given that this is what? 13 episode anime, and at the slow pace that it's going at right now... I bet we won't even get to really know any of the other characters except: Rouma, Tamaki, Kishida, maybe Yuuri, maybe the librarian.

I'm hoping against my pessimistic outlook however.
