And do you think the blond hair chick look like Cagalli(pilot of Gaia) will end up with Shinn(pilot of Impulse)???

Well, there were rumors of this being a 70+ episode series... But I doubt it.

According to Kunio Okawara (mecha designer), the "midway point" was Ep 26... So yeah, this is most definitely a 50~52 episode series.

What do you mean? I think SEED should have been longer, there were much more things they could have done with it if it had been just 5 episodes longer. Take Victory Gundam for example, the last 8 episodes are almost only about battle and character development in the battle, and it ends it nicely. If SEED had a quicker start and didn't blast into overdrive at episode 35 and also had a few more episodes it would have been more enjoyable.

And if Destiny is 70+... Well, I don't mind other than I would have to be a slave to it for 70+ weeks instead of 50+.

well, there has never been a Gundam TV series that's shorter than 30 episodes, the shortest was X which was cut down 10 episodes short of the intended length but it's still 39 episodes. All other Gundam TV series are over 40 episodes, around one year's airing time. So I guess it's only natural to expect SEED Destiny to be around 50 episodes

Sorry but a Gundam series that short isn't going to work, you can't get into the politics and the whole war thing. Can you imagine crushing Gundam Seed down to that many episodes? (the biggest complaint about the ending being that it was a rush and needed more eps)

0080 didn't need to be any longer but 0083 couldn't have hurt to have been longer.

And look at F91 - it should definitely have been longer. I like it so much but it is too quick

Imagin it was 70+! The fights would be naurtard style

But I hope the seires keeps the tempo up like the in phase one and two. I think they are doing alright but the question is are they going to over use the attack scenes, just like buster ever using only four attacks again and again, like they did in Seed?

Don't forget 08th MS Team, another example of a Gundam that should have been longer.

Im hoping that it is a long series. IT doesnt have to be 50 episdoes it needs to be 50 episodes. I like Gundam series for this reason. It takes awhile for you to watch them all straight through. Plus if there is 50 episodes or more they dont have to rush through it making it tottaly suck.

I bet they want to make this as long as One Piece if they could.
