There was one. But it's not really a figure, it's a doll

I've been thinking about getting that Alter Hayate, but it's a bit expensive lol. Add that to the fact that I'll probably be getting a Riot Zamber Fate and a decent Toradora fig whenever those come out and it's not looking likely...

I need some advice, guys. I bought a figurine (Shana Nendoroid) and when I open the box, it stinks terribly! Is this supposed to be normal with PVC figure?

I've never had one that "stinks terribly," but they can sometimes have a strong plastic smell. It fades quickly, though. Could it have been the packaging?

Newest addition - Hatsune Miku from Good Smile. She turned out to be a Christmas present. I pre-ordered her four months ago and she came the day before Christmas Eve. That's the second time that's happened to me.

Spoiler for Miku:

An excellent figure with very nice detail and finish. I usually don't care for glossy finish on figures, but this is an accurate representation for the material in her outfit.

@Mushi
Wow, I'm surprised it looks so smooth with all that detail.

I'm so happy right now. ^^
I just received my very first figure. I bought a Miku nendoroid I found on EBay and I thought it was in my price rage (free-shipping FTW) and it came today. Now, I don't know much about figures but I think it's adorable! I don't have a camera but here's an image of it.
Spoiler for Miku Nendoroid:

I was also wondering, does anyone here create custom or sell figures?

I was going to post a couple of pictures of anime figures I have, but for some reason it says:
"You may not post attachments" down in the posting rules box in the bottom left corner. What's up with that?
It's still not showing the avatar I picked either.

D'awww.... Nendroid Miku is kawaii.

Oh, and for anyone interested, pre-orders are available for the Mikuru Extravaganza figure.

How much did you pay for it ? I'm asking only because Piracy had befall on the Nendriod series of figures and Ebay isn't one of the more reliable place to purchase collectible stuffs.

This is one of the first anime figures I ever bought. I love Nuku-Nuku's skicky-up hair!

I think this counts, even though it's the Adan Warren Americanized version of the Dirty Pair!

Really? I didn't even realize that. Well, I paid $19.98 for it. I didn't know if it was too high, nor did I know if it was curiously low since I didn't do any research before hand.

Given that the legit release cost 3,000 Yen on the basic and coupled with the rising exchange rate of the yen, this is too good to be true.

One way to tell if your purchase is the real thing, take a look at the base of the stand, if it only has "MADE IN CHINA" instead of small wordings with acknowledgements to the original copyright owners, than you have just been another sucker to the Pirates in China.

How about this? I've had this box of Sailor Moon candy for years now. I treat it more like a work of art. It has an honored place on my bookcase in the living room.

If it's just $19.98, most likely it's a fake one. =(

The one on the left is fake, the one on the right is real.

The worst of all piracy is the Haruhi Bunny Girl set. Until there's a magazine exclusive Lucky Star fake, its probably the Bunny Girl set is the worse fake item.

How do you like the quality of Jun Planning? I know they're good at making dolls, but seems like their figures aren't really that good.
