Help!!!! Ultra Weird Codec Problem!

I had to restore one of my partition that contained windows and in the process wiped out my my codecs, so I had to redownload and reinstall them. But the problem is that it's not working! After I reinstalled the codecs BSPlayer plays the files with weird blue dots all over it, while Windows Media Player Classic plays the files extremely choppy.

Here's what AVIcodec tells me what codecs I have installed:
cvid
divx
i420
iv31
iv32
iv41
iv50
iyuv
m261
m263
mp42
mpg4
mrle
msvc
uyvy
xvid
yuy2
yvu9
yvyu

Here are the programs that I have installed to try and fix the problem that show up on the add/remove programs list.
AC3Filter
Direct Show Ogg Vorbis Filter
Direct Show subtitle filter collection
BSPlayer
Divx
ffdshow
MatrixMixer
VobSub v2.22
Xvid MPEG-4 Video Codec

Please help!!!!

This belongs in the Playback Help section, but basically uninstall ALL codecs you have and follow this Configuration Guide provided on this site.

Sorry about posting in wrong forum. All the files work now, except for like 5.

Unless you KNOW (and no I won't tell you how) to configure FFDshow, uninstall it. It overrides all filters and sets itself as the default decoder for everything. (Xvid, Divx, etc).

Yeah, I uninstalled FFDshow and installed all the separate stuff, and it worked. Thanks!

I know nothing about codecs and how they work, I just basically install everything people tell me to install, and hope it works

Rant: XP SP2 is the worst update ever!!!!!!
