Armitage III, OVA vs. Movie?

I heard Armitage III: Polymatrix was originally a series of OVAs, but all I've ever seen off the net is the movie. Did they leave anything out in the movie?

You shouldn't habe been downloding it in the first place. Bad, bad leech.

I think the movie loses maybe 30 minutes of footage (the OVA was 4 episodes, but the movie only 90 minutes, I think), though it actually gains a few new scenes.

I thought the OVA was awful, though, so I don't think it matters.

When did I say I was downloading it? When I said "..all I've ever seen off the net is the movie", I meant that I have never seen the OVAs for sale anywhere except on the internet, the only thing I can find in stores in the real world is the movie.

The movie version is lacking several sections from the OVA series, including the original ending. Which is a shame, since the beginning of the Dual Matrix movie makes a lot more sense with the OVA ending.

Here is a link to the Right Stuffs page for the Armitage III OVA set

Only $18.00, I paid more than that for each of the 4 vhs tapes.

I perfered the ovas to the movie, it just seemed to flow better, there was quite a bit taken out, and only a few scenes added in that didn't make much sence untill you watch the second OVAs. And then it becomes clear the added scenes fix what would have been a continuity problem.

Could you Spoiler what that is? I don't want to bother to see Polymatrix since I didn't like the OVA.

If you didn't like the OVA then like you said...you shouldn't bother with Polymatrix...

All PolyMatrix did was cut out some scenes (not really that important...but it did answer a couple of those questions you might've had in the back of your head) and as for the ending between the movie and ova...they both pretty much reached the same conclusion...just in a different way so i don't really consider them "different" endings...

Also...I found and bought the OVA at Best Buy...and i've seen it nearly everywhere...Suncoast, FYE, etc etc...just that none of those stores had that many copies...so they might've sold out of them fairly fast...

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking here. Do you mean...

Is there an Japanese soundtrack (along with English subtitles) with the release.

or

Is there an English language release of the Armitage III OVA.

The answer is yes to both of these, currently RightStuf has the Armitage III OVA and Armitage III: Poly-Matrix Movie DVD available for $5 each.
