First revisions of the PSP to have poor battery life/problems?

So like most sony consoles, they're really released before they are 'perfected' alot of them over heat, break easy etc...

Although I STILL Want a PSP.

In some news reports it's stated, that initial PSP battery life will only be 2 hours on graphic intensive games And later revisions will be better.

So is sony doing things in typical sony ways whree you'll buy 3 revisions of a game system before it works as it should?

I mean I know people that have the PStwos and they're returning them because they over heat too easy, and exhanging them for normal PS2s.

Oh well...I still want a PSP...but I'll have to wait for like version 10 or something of it to be good

The thing about the PSP now: it's under $200 american. The price was announced. If i was buying a new portable, that would have set my mind deffinately.

Yea but do you buy a portable game system to have 2 HOURS of play time? That's retarted :/

PSP may look flashy, but it's all about the quality of games.

But I am both a Sony and Nintendo fan, because both systems have awsome games.

But I'll end up getting a DS first...then waiting a few revisions for the PSP

It's just the battery, or are they also implying that some kind of an update to the device's firmware will be needed as well?

I didn't think the initial claims made about the PSP's battery life was all that realistic anyway; anything that hits the system particularly hard is going to drain the power more without some work done, IMHO.

Probally the actual hardware...when has Sony released a NEW version of their systems with just new firmware? The layout changes, the mobos are diffrent etc etc.

Nintendo however...releases one version of the hardware...and lets it be.

Oh well I'll have a DS to hold me off, by the time the PSP hits our shores, hopefully the battery problem will be solved...
